Well, quite a few of the vocal opposition have left. Nobunaga pops up from time to time and luns has been showing up recently, but without Nappy and the political version of Norse, a large chunk of the fun is missing.

id do it myself, but i dont think i could argue against all comers on both sides and win. Maybe set up a platform against luns as a centrist for the never to occur cc primary for the general election.

That's the down-side to having such broad left(ish) base on the forum, it makes others feel too isolated. Only a matter of time before they either stop posting or ignore chatter box.

It was sexy, but probably about as fruitful as actually arguing with jay.

Arguing with me can be fruitful. If a compelling argument is put forth. I just don't buy whatever people say. Look, I used to be a Bush supporter, thought that terrorists were out to get us and host of other instances where my mind has been changed. ;)

As much as I enjoy you, I've never seen a fruitful discussion with you, jay.

Jay you do not have a fruitful discussion ever. Why? Because you never actually enter a debate. You either wave away the arguments of the other person and try to change the subject. Sometimes you try to present arguments but then they are shredded to pieces and you wave away the refutation.

So no fruitful discussion. EVER

Wikipedia wrote:"Pirates and global warming

According to the Pastafarian belief system, pirates are "absolute divine beings" and the original Pastafarians.[3] Their image as "thieves and outcasts" is misinformation spread by Christian theologians in the Middle Ages and by Hare Krishnas. Pastafarianism says that they were in fact "peace-loving explorers and spreaders of good will" who distributed candy to small children, and adds that modern pirates are in no way similar to "the fun-loving buccaneers from history." Pastafarians celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19.

The inclusion of pirates in Pastafarianism was part of Henderson's original letter to the Kansas School Board. It illustrated that correlation does not imply causation. Henderson put forth the argument that "global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of pirates since the 1800s."[3] A chart accompanying the letter shows that as the number of pirates decreased, global temperatures increased."

jay I just described why there was never a fruitful discussion with you. You shy away from debates. You post an argument and it is refuted. You do not attempt to rebuke the refutation but either post another argument or wave it away and come back later. And if anyone posts an argument to you you wave it away. Obviously if an argument disagrees with your poitns on life it is not compelling

So that is why I foed Jay and don't read his crap anymore. It is a waste of time. He writes just to push buttons and generate text, and for no other reason.
