I could, but it'd mean I'd have to learn how to work the XML coordinate tool thing.
I've never even attempted anything with XML.
if zimmah doesn't show up soon, I might try it myself.

It's not that hard. The top left corner is (0, 0) and the bottom right is (xmax, ymax). Using that, you can mess around with the misplaced coords in the XML file by moving each a few pixels left/right/up/down until it's good, and then test it in the XML centering tester (clicky). Slow, a tiny bit tedious, but if I've found (in my limited experience) that even Jota's map assistant gives coordinates that need to be tweaked a bit.

Or you download the coordinate gui program and you just click to gain your coordinates :D

since Zimmah is still missing, I'm going to give it a try and fix the coordinates myself.
This will be interesting...

ive done coordinates before. If you dont need them in any certain-exact-spot then i could do them for you.

get a cross-hair cursor. It really helps with Jota's Map Assistant.

When I click in Jota's assistant, should I be clicking where the center of the numbers goes?

So, for an 888, I click in the middle of where the center 8 should be?
I mostly understand how it works, I just don't want to make some stupid mistake and have to re-do everything

Centering is always done between the first and second digits. There was a thread in the Foundry Discussion a few weeks ago on this, but I can't find it for the life of me now :(

well, I've got enough space on the small that I think it'll work.
So.... assuming I can get everything figured out and find some time to work on it, you might be seeing a new updated image within the next week....

I think no one will stay on the grand oasis, because it's losing 3 armies every turn
so all action will happen on the last seconds of every turn, that's not really fun :)

what do you mean by that?
all you have to do is hold the entire thing for the start of your next turn.

Are you talking about speed freestyle games? Yes, I think the action would all happen on the last few seconds. It'd probably be better to play it sequential than freestyle if you want to speed.

in other news, Zimmah has returned from vacation and I think he is working on fixing up the XML now, so I don't have to make a mess of it myself.

thanks Zimmah. glad to hear you're back.

I'm hoping we can get this quenched soon.

Re: Oasis -- still waiting for the XML....... [Final Forge]

while we wait for Zimmah....... Do you think I should I change the font on the large version to match the font of the small version?

Or just leave it as it is?

I'm just trying to find any last issues to fix while we wait...... so it'll be completely done once XML is finished.

sorry for the delay, i was on vacantion for a while and after the vacantion, the machines on my work got broken so i had a few terrible weeks at my work and therefore hardly any time to even look at CC.

it wasn't a very big job though to fix a few territories on the small map, so i fixed it after all now. well at least it looks good to me now.

so tell me what do you think of it? is it any good or does someone have some suggestions?

Its looking much better.

just a few that need small changes to make the 888 look right. mostly just moving the armies away from the territory names, and a few where you could move the numbers to be more centered on the territory.

*starts a list*
Deserts are looking much better. A lot of the problems have been fixed. Right now just a few need to be either moved because they are partially covering their territory name or are overlapping into a neighboring territory.
Deserts: 2, 3, 4, 6, 13, 14, 18, 19, 22, 30, 31, 33, 34, 48, 53, 56, 59, 60, 62, 75, 79
(I think 62 will need a graphics change from me.)

Oases are mostly good, there are just a few that could be moved a few pixels so they are more centered in their territory.
Oases: Life, Wisdom, Liberty.

Fertile land is almost perfect, just one or two small issues:
Ekao and Nezra are both partially covering their territory names. Those will both require graphics changes from me.
Past and Payn both extend off the edge of the map. if you move Wheld's numbers to the left just a bit, then you can also move Past's so they are completely on the image. Payn has enough space to just move it without blocking anything.

Much improved from the last update. Just those few fixes and it'll be perfect, I think.
Thanks for the update.

i'll check up the complete list (and any other additions) around the same time tomorrow, since i'll go to sleep now.

thanks for the list as it will make it much easier to solve the problems.

Desert 13 and Desert 62 need to have their territory number moved a bit, since i can't find another place where 888's would fit.

for the rest i think it looks rather nice now.

anything you still want me to do?

Wisdom, Strength, and Ekao are all a bit too close to their territory names.
The others look great though.Good fixes.

I'll move the territory numbers on 13 and 62. And I'm going to move 10 to the top of it's territory so it matches the others.
Just wait a day or two until I get those fixed. The update will be up sometime this weekend, most likely.

ok, I moved Desert 10, 13, 62, and 70.
10 and 70 moved to the top of the territory, 13 and 62 moved to fit army numbers.
Everything else stayed the same.
