The program is wonderful, but I ask why does it take up 3.37 MB? It's not so much as disk space as I'm wondering whether it's really memory efficient - I see it takes up 22 MB of RAM.

I plan to keep it on while I play intense graphics games where every megabyte of memory is precious ... :D

Obviously further development on this applet is not going to happen.

I suggest you start using Firefox with the Greasemonkey scripting plugin. Then you can get CCTELL which beats the pants off Notifier. (Not to mention the other great scripts for CC).

My 2-cents.

It's the firefox add in that shows the status of the games in the status bar. Your utility and the firefox add on pretty much make this one redundant imho. Shame the author of this one didn't want to develop it further :(

You know the tray icon? I want that icon for the .exe

Can you post the icon file?

One more thing: When you minimize it, it goes to the system tray. But is there a way to run it minimized when it starts up? So it only shows up in the system tray?

Thanks.

i only get: kevin's games waiting 0 dead 0 ready 0

before i read your advice i installed rss reader only to find out that i did not need it.....?

rss feed gives me a number autom. so i guess it's there cause it's different from kevin's. But in my profile there is no number to be found....why..? Is this cause i don't have a premium/ I wanted to get one but my debit card is not accepted by paypal and i live in Thailand and it's hard to get the right card. Could i just transfer this 20 dollars to the cc account cause i guess i can trust you to process this. Anyway, kevin's program and being unable to get premium is really annoying.

You want this app - just runs in the tray and shows number of games you need todo a turn in

icon

Post by Mr Tumbler »

A general Conquer Club icon to use to get a nicer start icon for the notifier program (or any other program associated with conquer club). It's not a good icon, the borders of the icon is crap, but at least it's AN icon.

If anyone can publish this file in a direct link, please do so.

Anyway, here are 2 links to the icon file:
http://www.mediafire.com/?6iz1zmlw1y4
http://www.box.net/public/0xv3hndk0t

To change the appearance on the notifier program shortcut (or any other shortcut), right click the shortcut, choose Properties, press Change Icon, and choose the location of the downloaded conquerclub.ico file.

It loads XML feed forever; I've never had it finish.

Any ideas?

This thing is so smooth it needs to be directly sponsored by CC in the games list instead of just in the forums.

And as far as RSS readers go they're terrible! Big hunks of junk that don't get the info right anyway!

Thanks for a smooth and professional (not to mention accurate) piece of software!
