Hi, I was thinking of the nummer of players who qualify for the second round. For example, there are 13 players from Canada, six of them is suppose to be able to qualify,there are 6 Swedish players and only one going thru. That hardly seems fair.

Canada qualifies for North America, there are less players there. As Canada has a large number of players in North America they will automatically 1 spot for the Main Tourney. In the 2nd stage of qualifying only 1 of 6 canadians will qualify for the Main Tourney.

Europe has a very high number of players from about 36 countries. There are 8 spots for Europe in the Main Tourney. So 32 players from 30 countries will play for these 8 spots, as only 1 player from a country can qualify. So in the second qualifying stage there is 25% chance to qualify.

It's the art of the Tourney to get 30 players from different countries and continents in the final stages. And yes for people of smaller counties it is easier. But that's the same with the Real Olympics.
