I was just thinking, if we have to change everything anyway, wouldn't be easier to create a map completely from scratch without the limitations of Narnia, but inspired by it.

personally i think we should just be patient about the copyright because the original map is so cool, and part of the reason people would want to play it.

no if we have to change the names as well its not worth it-i thaught the copyright problems just came from copying maps from other websites. what happend with lord of the rings? it should have had around the same troubles

I think this map is a wonderful idea. As for the copyright thing, I say just make it and if lawyers say anything, tell them you tried to obtain permission.

It's not up to me, Conquer Club itself is likely to face a lawsuit, not me or any other members.

As long as you give credit where it is due and don't try and say its all your work, it should be fine. Its not as though money is being made directly off the map.

That's fine, but I don't really want to have anything to do with it unless there's written permission to do so. I don't want to put in a lot of hours into something that may not even be allowed because of copyright.

Good luck to those already involved and any others interested, but I'll have no further input on the project. :)

ha ha, I didn't realize you'd made that comment all the way back in Nov. anyway, better late than never; here's the map

i'm having some issues, this is the largest photobucket will let me make it, and i don't know why or how to fix it
w/e, tell me what you think

3 Ettinsmoor
6 Narnia
2 West Woods
4 Archenland
3 Calormen
rivers are Impassable barriers
and bridges are...bridges, lol

also, the seven isles are one country, not 7
and i forgot to put it in, but there is a bridge from Cair Paravel to Galma and a bridge from the marshes to the seven isles

this reminds me of Middle Earth, only reversed, and with 23 territories.
