HELP ME PICK A COLOR!!!
I know this sounds stupid, but I can't decide what color to paint my room.
I wanted to do three different shades of blue, and then leave one wall white.
But is that too much? I need suggestions.
I want a fun look, with a mature edge. Ideas?

A lot depends on the room; the location of doors ande windows the amount of wall space taken up by various things.
Three colors of blue sounds like something you would do in a college dorm. I''d stick with one color blue and an accent color, so you have two (or possibly three) but the walls would look more or less the same.
Some people like pure primary colors, I tend to like blends. A touch of green in the mostly blue can be used to good effect. Complementary shades off of this can be used for accents. Faux techniques can add false texture to the surface of the wall.
Remember the opposite of Blue is Yellow, and as you shade blue towards the green side, yellow (which is on the color wheel between red and green) shaded towards the red side can be "gold." Probably not an idea for the paint itself, but for objects around the wall.

The right answer to the wrong question is still the wrong answer to the real question.

The opposite of blue is orange
My room is blue+white. blue walls, white ceiling and doors and stuff like that. Its kinda dark blue, but its blue.
If you're going for dark blue, you'll probably want some bright colors in the rest of your room. Bright red and yellow are nice with the blue.
I don't know about using light blue, though. Its too dull of a color for me...

dont do red, it gets boring plus you get alot of wtf(s) from your friends
and i hear doing acid or any hallucinogen in a red room is not a good idea either, dont know why though.
go with like orange

if you have quite trendy stuff and trendy design three white and one red is good. not bright red though.
Re: HELP ME PICK A COLOR!!!
Just eat a lot of pizza, then down a few bottles of vodka. Then your room will paint itself.

Maybe it makes the walls look like they're bleeding?
But don't listen to this guy, red's a good color.

Re: HELP ME PICK A COLOR!!!
My missus wanted to paint the bedroom pink. I said if she painted it pink I wouldn't be sleeping in it. I got home from work the next day and there was a large can of pink paint (it said fuschia on the tin, but it looked pink to me!!) on the table. Its in the shed now and I'm almost afraid to come home from work.
My advice is paint the ceiling midnight blue and the walls sunset yellow.....................and get some glow in the dark stars................classy.

As much as I hate "pink" as a room color fuschia is much worse. It was (or so my first boss told me) used extensively in the offices of Lillian Vernon, proof positive that when women run companies, office colors go to hell.
