NYC Pro Sports Showdown (Being Expanded) [Canceled]

Hi everyone and welcome to the NYC Pro Sports Showdown Tournament, where we'll be deciding which of 8 pro sports teams located in New York City is the best.

Signup: Please choose which division you wish to be in (Giants, Islanders, Jets, Knicks, Liberty, Mets, Rangers, Yankees) PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TOURNAMENT

Divisional Play: There will be 8 divisions of 4, one for each of the 8 sports teams listed above. The players will play a round-robin of 1v1 games, with the winner of the most games advancing. If there is a tie, whoever won their games in the fewest rounds advances. If there is still a tie all remaining players play one more game with the winner advancing.
Settings: All games will be NYC 2-player (except for the tiebreakers, which could be 3 or 4) Standard Sequential No Cards Chained Sunny

Finals: The 8 who make it to the finals will play a round-robin of 1v1 games and 8 8-player games. Scoring will be as follows:
Each 1v1 win: 1 point
Each 8 player win: 2 points
Each 8 player elimination: 1 point
1v1 Settings: Same as divisional play
8-Player Settings: NYC Standard Seq Esc Unlimited Sunny

don't the jets & giants play (and offices reside)in New jersey and only use the name New York because its a bigger media market? I mean I know they used to play in New York, but the Dodgers USED to play in Brooklyn. Buffalo Bills still play in NY though NY State (as do the Islanders since Long Island isnt NYC either) =P

Hey everybody! I'm going to put this tournament on hold for now...RedBaron0 and I are making it into a larger, multiple-city tournament with a similar format to this one. The tournament isn't canceled, it's just being expanded, so as soon as we have the details ironed out and the new thread posted I'll pm all of the current participants asking for re-enrollment. Sorry for the delay!

I saw the tournament, and said, "great idea!" but... New York sucks, and I refuse to play unless given the chance to play for my prefered PHILADELPHIA team.

Still ironing some stuff out, but the rules will be the same, couple different maps, several cities probably culminating in a bracket of games between the winners between the cities for ulitmate bragging rights!
