Oh like fur shur, so like you think I am like, y'know naturally blonde, or like that I totally dye my hair Blonde? As if! Ohmigod, like, I totally remember doing the, like, Valley girl thing when I was like, in third grade. Soooo... that totally blows your theory out of the water, 'cuz I'm like, totally over that. And, no, I don't actually live in, like, the Valley. But I'm totally a California girl, ohmigod. But fur shur, like if I can totally shop, then like winning a Risk game is like, duh, like for real that would be totally easy. Fur Shur!

I'm not good enough at this game to play for anything BUT fun
I've only played 1 doubles match because I figure if I have a bad game, at least I don't have to feel bad about dragging someone else down with me.
Best part of CC though is the community. Don't know what I'd do without you witty atheists and Christians who seem to believe that Catholics are the agents of Satan.

I dont want to lambaste the guy but he is very high in ranking (also in the elite tourney I believe) - he has told me he will not play singles as they are too volatile for his rank. The 1 in 6 sounds about right for me as well which makes me feel much better.......
Singles to volatile for his rank??? Rubbish - he's just poo at singles![]()
Its swings and roundabouts as far as im concerned.
more people more risk more points more fun
less people less risk less points less fun
sort of![]()
pick another doubles partner Kool. plenty out there mate. some just prefer more co-operation than others. they're usually the ones that win though
Here is the deal and my case for double vs. singles (elite games excluded)
High ranking player A joins standard game. Low ranking privates B through F think 'ooh I am going to try to beat the high ranking player'. Typically any standard game I play involves me having a giant target on me and being the beneficiary of all attacks. A win in one of these games is worth about 50 points, where a loss nets -40+ points. I find it hard to believe anybody can maintain better then winning 1 out of 5 standard games (partly because I am not quite as good at them and partly because I get teamed up on). I find my win rate better in elite games and the games much more fun, so I have cut down on my public standard games.
A doubles game is about as close as you can get to a 1 on 1 battle (4 player game). You have 1 target and 1 goal. Personally, this is more fun for me, because I see it as a level playing field where superior strategy prevails more often than not.
To the fun vs. rank debate - I think both go hand in hand. Anybody with a competitive bone in their body would agree. I play sports and games for fun and they become infinitely more enjoyable when I am winning.

hee hee... sully, where did you find this? who is this Kathleen imposter? My name is NOT Kathleen.
