Earlier gavin mentioned a good point about Europe's over all bonus, it does seem perhaps slightly high comparatively to the others. **scratches his head** I know probably no one else cares though.
They just want to see this map up, but I want to make sure it's the best it can be.
Zim, if you could, please post the following:
And how could I already be playing it?
--Andy
Zim, if you could, please post the following:
- Small map with numbers properly aligned in the army shadows
- Large map of the same thing
- Links to both the regular gameboard for both the Large and Small maps, along with a link to the XML.
And how could I already be playing it?

I agree with andy here.. c'mon this would be the shortest FF stage ever.. and in my opinion this map isnt super friendly on the eyes.. it is as friendly as it will get though.

The formula I made to calculate the bonus values yields 10.5 for Europe versus 11.1 for North America. I rounded them using the standard rules but a case could definitely be made for a 10 point Europe. My leaning is to keep it at 11 as I think it will be hard to hold but that could just be my history with Classic colouring my thinking. It's not a big deal to change it if that's the general consensus.

In regard to someone saying Hawaii being difficult to tell what it belongs to (though it doesn't really seem to be that difficult), you always could move the army shadow slightly north of the islands so you can see the color clearer.
There are a few coordinates I think that could be cleaned up to make everything look uniform...
Alignment check:
Those are the coordinates I see right away. If I were you, go through and check them again for center alignment. If you look on the larger map, you can see there are even more that seem off center, but if you can get centralization on the small one, it should correspond for the most part on the large map. So post up new images to check the alignments.
Also, does it seem some of the names have gotten tougher to read?

This has to be the most annoying type of post I have ever read, and the last few pages of this thread are filled with them (so take note: I am speaking to many more people than haha in this post)
Stop demanding for the map to be quenched when things still need fixing! As Andy pointed out, the army number in Southern USA on the small map is not even close to the circle. You can't quench a map like that!
It will be much better and easier to sort out any last minute problems now before lack puts the map up for open play, so stop whining about it. I'm sure you can wait a few days.

Can I still make a suggestion? I dont know if this was suggested or not, but could "Argentine Claim" of Antarctica be changed to "Chilean Claim"? The Chileans are pretty proud of their 'claim' of Antarctica, and if you take a look here: -> Antarctica Map <- the British Claim encompases the whole Argintine Claim.
Updated XML
I think this corrects all the unaligned numbers if anyone spots any that are off center let me know (or if you're feeling ambitious update the XML at):

On replacing Argentine Claim with Chilean Claim I'm fine with it as long as we don't have any Argentines who object
Cheers,
Zim

on the corner inbetween Mali, Niger, Cote D'ivoire, and Nigeria, are the lines supposed to line up? they dont right now ( at least on the large map) and it looks like there could be a possible attack between Cote D'Ivoire and Niger. if this is an attackable route, could you make it more obvious, or fix the lines?

gavin_sidhu wrote:May have discussed this b4, but why call Saudi Arabia only Saudi?
Numbers in mid east not centred.
The shortening of Saudi Arabia is just to save space. I'm sure the House of Saud would be cool with it

Mali and Nigeria do not connect, Cote and Niger do.
