Hello, i am trying to recruit enough members to start a competitive clan. The name will be chosen at a later date from either one of the choices above, or one suggested by future members. During the recruiting period, there is no point requirement, although once established we may add one.
As a clan, we will be known as a clan that plays smart, but will strike when given the opportunity. We will be both respected and feared. We will compete in clan challenges, as well as clan tournaments.

it's not that i dont' have ideas, it's the fact that i dont' know what would attract people to the clan the most.

I've had ideas for
A starwars theme
a ninja theme
an X-men theme
An assassin theme
A gladiator theme
the problem is choosing the one that will attract people

Something important to note is that you do not have to have a theme in order to have a clan. Yes, there are many clans out there with some sort of theme, but the Imperial Dragoons, THOTA, The Untouchables, even Generation One to a certain extent, don't have a theme, they are just players who enjoy each other's company and got together to make a clan.

Yes, Generation One is led by a guy named after a Transformer, but other than picking out some fun Transformer aliases, we don't do hardly any discussion of anything Transformer related. It does provide a fun avenue for trash talking by referring to ourselves as "the robots" though, but that's about it. Even our name doesn't really belie our so-called "theme" all that much if you don't happen to be an avid fan of the cartoon from the 80s.

If you want my advice, just go find a group of players you enjoy playing with, ask them if they want to get together as a clan, and come up with a fun name. You don't have to have a theme, unless that is something you are specifically striving for.

I think you know the point I was trying to make, t-o-m.

I know that you guys have a "mafia" theme, and that your sigs have a mafia look to them, just like G1 has Transformers in their sigs, but what I was trying to get at is that your "theme" doesn't pervade every single thing that you do as a clan. I look around these days and there are so many "new" clans trying to start that come across as thinking that they have to have some niche to fall into in order to be cool. They don't.
