PacMan map

Post by Hoff »

So i'm thinking of making an old arcade map. I'm thinking PacMan or maybe tetris, frogger or something along those lines. But i dont want to start it if you guys think its a bad idea. So let me know what you think. And if you do like the idea, give me suggestions for an old arcade game to do.

Go Hoff I was planning on something similar it was meant to be a GORF map.

Don't do tetris, it would probably just end up looking like the crossword map.

Cars, road, logs, water, lily pads, they all could be made into continents

I could see that working, it would just require some creative map-making to take away from the linearishness of the map.

Eh, i'm not too crazy about this idea. If you can pull it off, more power to you but I don't really see it going anywhere great.

I just don't know what you're going to call the "countries"...I don't like the crossword map because it's work for me to find my countries, you know what I mean? I guess this would be a lot of the same....

attack log 1 from log 3

and

attack car 4 from car 7?

but you know...i'm always partial to the classic map, so if you can pull it off, go for it...

Not to long ago while I was playing my Super Nintendo, I thought an interesting idea for a map might be Super Mario World. Various countries could be the level-games, and the continents are already there. Sounds interesting, but I don't know if even I would play it, hehe. But I think looking into other areas now, rather than just geography, is a good stepping stone to greater things.

Yeah i dont even really like my idea anymore either haha. Cahoots is right, it would be too much like the crossword map with #s and all. I have an idea in my head for a map. It would be a completely different layout from the traditional classic map, but i think it would be interesting. I'll make a post about it once i get it drawn up.
