I wonder what I'll be getting in the 3 or so games where I "missed" a turn - i.e. the server didn't bother giving me a turn!!

I missed about 30 turns cos' of the downtime so I don't even want to think what some lamers are gonna leave me :'(

But yea...this is definately a flaw in the system. There are people leaving crap ratings for no reason and people crying about getting 4s...I left some guy 4-5-5 and he asked me to remove it like wtf :/

It is nothing short of disgraceful the way this has all been set up.

Quite simply, the stars should be issued according to rank. No one lower than a Major should ever receive more than 4 stars. No one lower than an Officer should receive anything more than 3 stars. No one lower than a 2 striper should receive anything more than 2 stars, cooks and other great unwashed should get 1 star each.

This way the natural order of things is preserved, Ranking status quo is maintained and the hoi polloi obviously marked.

i got a bad attendence rating from someone but when i pmed them to inquire about it, they said they got me mixed up with someone else, and they fixed it.

and lets face it, there will always be jerks that will leave bad ratings, but i like the way that even the 1 bad rating i had still had me at a good rating overall, because ive been rated enough to where 1 doesnt make a lick of difference.

That rating medal was probably a mistake. This guy who left me a 3 for every section has also done the same for...52 other people, some of which missed turns. Oh well.

right here's my position... I AM only using this account... my other account is djjcuk would u please find alll games that I have played with this account. I'll sign it. I played one game under the new system and got three stars for attendance where I missed no turns. I also received three stars for attitude in which no one said a word the whole game. If you miss no turns your attendance rating should be 5! If you never say anything how can you have "an attitude?" Ridiculous.

No - your attendance was average, which is what it states. Typically people don't miss turns. Therefore you did nothing out of the ordinary. You'd get a 3 from me as well.

Personally, I would not have given you all 1's ... but you would definitely not have gotten a 5 for attitude.

I am not telling you how to play or act, but you posted here in the forum, complaining,
which means that you felt this was an extraordinarily aggregious rating ... and, the thing is, I believe most folks would say it was pretty close to reasonable. Not perfect, perhaps, but reasonable.

(not sure why the 1's for attendance unless you missed turns or such...)

I like the rating system just how it is.

Stars make it much more simple for me, feedback was too much work.
So, sign me up for the "don't change the system again, I like the ratings and want them to stay exactly as they are" petition, if there is such a thing.

Usually don't disagree with you, wc, but nobody made you enter feedback under the old system. Laziness is your prerogative: embrace it, cherish it, but don't force it on me.

New system is crap. Consider me signed on.

But that was still over a year before you launched this account.

1) What account name did you use during that year gap?
2) Are there any more accounts that you played under?
3) Why did you feel you needed to start a new account?
4) Do you realize you could have continued to use the old account?
5) Did you know what you did was a violation of the only iron-clad rule on this site?

I liked the old feedback system much better, but I do like the five day waiting period in usse now before ratings are posted. If we had that five day waiting period for feedback, it would result in not having any revenge feedback. Bring back the feedback, but keep the five day waiting period for feedback to be posted.

Rating Attributes

Fair Play: covers suiciding, secret alliance suspicion, breaking or respecting alliances, chivalry, etc...
Attendance: covers deadbeating, missing turns, deliberately prolonging rounds, finding a babysitter to keep things moving, etc...
Attitude: covers behaviour in chat, foul language, sore losers, gracious winners, "great chatters!", whining about dice, etc...
Teamwork: covers playing with teammates - coordination, communication, etc...

The number of stars given should be based on this scale: 1 = Bad, 2 = Below Average, 3 = Average, 4 = Above Average, 5 = Excellent.
so since nothing was said and no turns were missed you feel both these areas were above average or excellent? Sounds like an ordinary average game to me.

Oh ok then fair enough lol didnt know how to accurately check my activity I just looked at the last game I played. Answers.

1) I WASNT PLAYING DURING THE GAP YEAR.
2) NO, THERE ARE NO OTHER ACCOUNTS I PLAYED UNDER.
3) BECAUSE I WASNT HAPPY WITH THE NAME djjcuk (THAT WAS A YEAR AGO) I NOW AM KNOWN TO ALL MY FRIENDS AS JOSHY BOY.
4) YES I DOBUT I THOUGH IT BEST NOT TO TOUCH IT.
