I love this idea, and I have programming experience and don't think that it should be hard, a simple matter of copy-and-pasting code for an additional dice, or even just adding a "+1". Of course, you would also need if statements to control if this code or the original is executed.

It should be a option, not a permanent change...

this is far too compicated to be worth the effort. simplify it, and maybe you'll have something. even then, i probably wont like it but seriously i didn't even bother getting past the first paragraph of your suggestion because it takes so long to explain and it's not like a brilliant or earthshattering idea anyways

It is fairly complex but innovative none the less and it could be broken down more simply but that would deplete the point of the post. I have found the more detailed the suggestion the more likely they are to get a response...

I belive this system could be made easyer without messing up the cardsystem.

What if befre you start your game. Choose Your Army/Hero/War General. And would have the same bonuses as you suggested.

Lets round 1. Choose your War General. (I take those names, cause it will give a more warish looks to it)

Hitler. +1 to all Rolls.
Napoleon: +2 to lowest roll.
Alexander The Great.: +1 Dice.
Josef Stalin. -1 to all Rolls of the enemy dice.
The Leader of Nord Vietnam a time ago which i forgot the name on: -2 to highest roll on the enemy.
Benito Mussolini. -1 Dice for the enemy.

Lots to choose between.

Now the next it optional. And the bonus might only work here.

Choose your capital. (where the leaders protect.)
