To reiterate what vykingsfan64 said in an earlier post, it seems that V.J. is the only player in Division 6 that is not entering his games. I understand that he is a freemium w/ limited spots, but you might want to check w/ him to gauge his interest in continuing in this excellent tourny and then consider a replacement. Thanks for running a great tournament amazzony and simor.

Don't worry, we are sending reminders, we just don't report about them in here  Usually we send reminders 3-5 times per batch, completely depends how well people join their games and how much we have to make replacement :)
Right now I've had a long and not that nice weekend and simor is having his thesis exam today so our tournaments are having a "brake"-kind-of-thing  But most important things get done :)

I have to say, this tournament is VERY well organized and presented, and I'm thrilled that you created a high rank division so that I could participate. My appreciation goes out to you.

That being said :D, I would criticize that 18 games is very few. Most games are heavily weighted on luck, but this is especially true above all other in 1v1's. A lot of maps the player who simply goes first can win 80% of the time. To even this out, you'd need a lot of games. I understand that would be difficult and prolong the tournament though. However 18 is very little, and you could see the best player win 4/18 on a bad day, and the worst player win 16/18 on a good one - just depends on those rolls.

I don't want to take away from an excellent tournament setup though, but wanted to offer some feedback. Again, great work guys. :D

First of all, thank you! :) Simor has worked quite a bit to add little things (like the waiting/playing/finished % thingy) to make the tournament easier for us to run and more enjoyable for the players. And I'm giving my little efforts

You aren't taking anything away, different opinions are always welcome :) That said, we probably won't change the format (though this is just my first opinion, I haven't discussed it with simor yet). The game load is big enough for freemiums and I would like to keep it open for everybody and I can't imagine that we would run 1 season for 12+ weeks instead of 6+ weeks as it is right now. Oh, just got a perfect idea, we'll add one more batch that will be played on Crossword map because nobody knows it so it's a fair way to see who is best  (just kidding, don't worry :D)

But as I said, we do appreciate feedback a lot and we'll surely discuss it with simor :)

Cheers,
amazzony

Yep, on my home map he smoked me, but I returned the favor on his. He got the drop on Pearl and I got the drop on AOR2.

Forefall - Dont agree about the first player having an 80% advantage - ive have 4/12 first starts and managed 10/12 - if you have optimal strategy you have a chance....but yeah luck counts ofc.....
