Re: [09-Jun-2008] Ratings & Medals

Post by JBoy »

this is all so stupid, being graded for attendance, feel like i'm in kindergarten, i just had a power outage for 36 hours, missed a bunch of turns in games, guess my attendance is poor, stupid, and teamwork, i only play singles , so what f-ck-ng team am i on ? hey i got an idea , make everybody a conqueror or a general so all the moronic crybabies can quit crying about their rank and maybe concentrate on learning how to play, you're going to have people crying soon because somebody has more medals than they got and how come ? boo-hoo...

Future updates to medals will hopefuly have an easier way to track.

Teamwork only applies if you have played a team game with someone, or they have with you. Anyways, if you'd like to attempt any flaming, you can do so in the Flame Wars forum. ;)

I prefer to know why someone is a bad/ not fun player instead of some star rating. i think a loooot of people are going to have all 5 or close to it. the feedback helps you know exactly what previous players thought

Lame.

Leaving feedback was great. Reading feedback was amusing. Now there's no detail and it's impossible to know how bad each other really are. So, no thanks to this dumbed down fisher price feedback system - it sucks.
by the way, all your other improvements have been great but this one really is terrible. if you don't want to moderate feedback, then don't.

next you'll be issuing fair play medals - go get bought out by hasbro and be done with it.

I like the idea of the stars and medals for people.

Andy-

the mods screwed up by making this change. you know it...I know it...and most of the people posting in this forum and saying it.

this is eerily similar to the blanket changes made to Classic Map

I appreciate the effort made by the Mods in creating the change but change just for change-sake is not productive.

another thing about positive feedback is that it is much harder to obtain than a star rating because most people do not bother to leave it. it is already like a medal in itself.

Just admit you screwed up and go back to feedback. Quit being so dammed politicaly correct. The feedbacks gave us a much more entertaining and infomative read. And if your to lazy to moderate feedback like the Limey said dont do it.

to all the complainers of the system: maybe for next time you can find out what potential updates there are by looking in general discussion and posting in the discussion thread of that topic. there was a "new feedback preview" thread and you could've posted your thoughts there instead of complaining about it now. for future reference...

2 things:
1. i didn't get the map maker medal and the tourney organizer medal. why?
2. under what conditions is the Special Contribution medal awarded? i mean map makers and tourney organizers have a medal so it's not for them. perhaps it is for the moderators? or for the script developers (bob, cm, etc)??
