not a good idea. there are 117 division one teams. Waterloo has 102 territories. I really don't think this would be a good idea.

Then I'd rather not see the map. It wouldn't be an accurate representation.

sorry mate but that makes no sense. none of the maps on this site are "accurate representation[s]".

Lets not argue in the poor man's thread. In any case, I see no point unless all the teams are represented.

There are just too many teams to have all 119 teams. Plus the MAC would make the North sooo congested. Sunbelt and CUSA would make the South very congested. And the WAC well they have teams all over the place. This is the strongest and best 7 conferences. Goegraphically it works well.

As far as the the rivalries that can be up for discussion and altered. I tried to get two of the biggest from each conference and included BYU Utah in the MWC (The Holy War and considered one of the top 10 rivalaries that goes back to 1922) and Pitt WV in the BE (The Backyard Brawl that goes back to 1895). As far as Duke NC... if someone has an idea for a better ACC rivalry I'm all ears.

I like the LSU to Auburn connection too and will change that.

Used the 7 biggest conferences and also used footall rivalries.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

great idea. some of your rival games could be better though. duke vs north carolina...its not basketball. utah vs BYU= who cares. Pitt vs west virgina= yawn.

My thoughts:

1) Connect the following:
Clemson and South Carolina
Maryland and West Virginia
Virginia Tech and West Virginia
Wake Forest and Duke

2) Add a special connecting route between S. California and Notre Dame

3) Special Rivalry changes:
Add N.C. State and UNC
Remove UNC and Duke
You might want to cap it... there are far too many rivalries from which you could choose!

4) Miscellaneous: Doesn't Pittsburgh have an H at the end?

the text is WAY too tiny.
there is no way to tell apart Big 12 North from Big 12 South, likewise for SEC and ACC.
the rivalries is a cool idea
the map is too big, and the smaller one you provided is better, but very compact
PAC 10 should not be worth 6 as it is pretty isolated and only has 3 defending terits.
PAC 10 is too isolated. maybe make Washinton state connect with Utah?
what's so special about Notre Dame?
its a good idea though. good luck!

First, as I said I like this map. To make it work I would scrunch the US like you are applying a different map projection.

Yes, Pittsburgh should have an H at the end (I write from Pittsburgh).

And Notre Dame is special because it has its own national following and isn't part of a conference. But carries the weight as if it were.

What part of the map Colson posted makes you think it will be the same gameplay as the USA map?

Virginia Tech-UVA? Clemson-USC? You do have more options.
