thats me! Sfh could you email me the picture you want to use, and i will make it look great. if i worked on it over the weekend i could have the image part of the map done by monday (yes i do have too much freetime)
Edit: i will frequently post map image in this thread so we can figure out the whole playability thing with this map (borders, continents, links between countries)

we're aiming for that, the problem is judging playability is rather difficult, we have to try things to see how the work, we'll have something up in a few days. btw the continents are going to be huge, at the moment the smallest one has 5-6 territories and the largest is 10-20. I know that this idea is going to meet some opposition, but its a new concept so if you're going to trash it please explain your reasoning.

I like the map but are the borders going to always look this way? And what are the extras at the bottom like "liquid" and "synthetic"?
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.
There are some defeats more triumphant than victories.

I am going to make the map( at lease a rough draft) over the weekend. If anyone has any ideas about how the countries (each element) could be divided up into continents or has anything else to say, post here and i will attempt to work it into the map.
I am currently thinking about having each continent a different bright color. the background will be dark blue and may have some chemistry equiptment on it (test tube, fire, etc.).
since the periodic table currnently only goes up to element 118 (118 countries), sfh and i want to add two more countries to make it an even 120 (because 120 countries can handle 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 player games without having any neutral countries). does anyone have an idea of what those two extra countries could be?
i think that the final map will be very similar to this picture (but with color) we will add elements 113-118 but they will probably just use their numbers instead of a name ( because Ununquadium is too long and too hard to spell)

sure CCium is good. its a little hard to say, but it works.
so it will have CCium and Riskium as country 119 and 120
bye guys i wont be on here until tomorrow (unless i can sneak on here sometime when my parents arent going to notice.. feel free to post your suggestions here for us to see later.

i am doing the visual part of the map ( basically making it look good)

So this is the basic idea, diregard the dark line that seperates the metals and nonmetals all the other dark lines are boundries, there is likely to be a Hydrogen- Helium connection and the section seperate at the bottom connets back to where it is in the table (The white X's) no comments on the image right now, just the continents and borders.
