I suppose it's no big deal. We'll just carry the cup around Pittsburgh for a bit.

You know... That's an absolutely marvelous idea. That is, if you want to get fuckin shot.

Good thing it won't happen, eh? ;)

34 seconds. We were already arguing over who should win the Conn Smythe. 34 freakin' seconds.

What a game though. Just a great game, all the way, except the wrong team won. Fleury scares me now. Detroit outshot them bad, dominated much of the game from the 3rd on, and just couldn't get the winner past Fleury.

I'm with you Neoteny, Detroit wins at the Igloo tomorrow. They'd better, I don't want any part of a game 7.

It was almost two games worth. Can't complain much. I don't know that I'm any more scared of Fleury, but he definitely deserves respect. If nothing else, we demonstrated that we could effectively shut down Crosby using half our team without major negative circumstances elsewhere...

I screamed in delight. Loud.

One of my apartment mates threw a pillow and broke a glass.

I laughed.

QFT. By the start of the 3rd period I didn't care who scored, I just wanted the game to end.

Ain't happening. It's going to a game 7, so get ready to see 'Penguins Party in Detroit' Volume I.

I'm pretty sure I heard my father's scream through the TV after it traveled across the country to Detroit. It was that loud.

What a miserable day at work today. Everyone was grumpy from the combination of staying up to 1, and then actually thinking about the fact the Wings lost. It's kind of a new experience.

The worst thing is, now we have to stay up all night Wednesday and party.

Yeah, but at least once the party starts, we'll forget game 5 (at least for the night).

You need to change the title to Icehockey.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

A sad day. I had to watch it on a tiny screen too, because we are getting hit by a storm, and they decided saving people's lives was more important than my hockey game. I'm pretty sure that my reduced fandom from the beginning of the second overtime on is what cost us the game. It's hard to get as much through from the quarter of the screen.

That would suck. We were outplaying them too, just couldn't get by Hiller. Just like that game 1 in the opening round series back in 2003. Went 3 OT's that day too, and couldn't beat Giguere.

Weather's clear, let's do this. Anyone else pleasantly surprised by Chicago? They were mediocre for so long...

The Wings need to kick it into gear here. Down 2-1.

Definitely. Severely disappointing. Caps-Pens (read Malkin vs Crosby) is proving rather entertaining.

Think you meant Ovechikin vs. Crosby.

But speaking of Malkin...where has he been? He has played like he is in AA midget. Not making any plays...not back checking...not being a factor. Crosby has played great...but he can't do it all himself. The Caps supporting cast has been much better than the Pens.

Remember the Finals last year? It's becoming Malkin's MO.
