I'm still on my first play of this map, but I've found it very confusing. Until I read your post I had no idea what I was doing! Perhaps you could state the objectives of the map, or the gameplay, more clearly on the map? Also, while I like the touch german adds, I didn't understand it until I read your translation here. Maybe you could translate it on the map, too? Finally, where do we get bonuses from? Just the white areas in town?

ive got an idea also. Swimmy - maybe you could try reading/looking at the map - maybe you will find the objective and bonuses there?

I'm finally getting the hang of this map and it's gone...bring it back soon please.
My main criticism is confusion over which territories border which in the airport area - I thought, for example, the Tower would be desirable but ended up dead-ending a large batallion there. But in all I really liked the style of game and gameplay.

I like this map so far, but i feel its just not very good in particular game types: Especially with a large number of players. I recently started an 8 player game and its clear now that it wont end anytime soon. There will be 7 other players (who cant die) obstructing the player trying to go for the objective. I think its gonna be really hard to hold off 7 players! Imagine a setup with escalating cards. You cant kill people for their cards, and surely youre not gonna complete the objective with 5-7 other players preventing you from doing it.
The changes you will make seem a step in the right direction. It wont screw up some players' game that quick, they all have a chance. Also the starting positions in the castle are a good idea.
Another idea I had is that there is imited access between the different parts on the map. There are the helipads and the cable cars/paths, which means just 2 borders for the whole part to defend after youve brushed everyone out of the way. I havent used any the CC or paths yet, and i dont feel the need to either. Its more of a hassle than its worth in my eyes. A possible solution could be to provide bonuses for using either of these, or to give more opportunities to get around the map: 2 cable cars (each way) and 2 paths (each way also). This would make it a bit harder to defend and give more options for movement at the same time.

Or maybe more interesting: create more victory conditions. Have for example 7 territories, of which a player has to hold 4 to win. Or does that not work along with the storyline? wait till the of the round (on freestyle)
go get the objectives
run out of time
then win the game by begining turn straight away?
is it?

i thought you couldn't go first in a game when you had the last turn

i thought you couldn't go first in a game when you had the last turn
if i "run out of time" i get to go next
but
it didnt happen - i was SO close to winning, but then i lost a 24v11 - 24v11 he came off with 5. so i havnt won...yet

This takes the prixe as the most confusing map I've ever played. I have yet to figure out all of the attack routes.

If you can find you way around Psalm 23 and declare you are the baddest soab in the valley, then ask for spiritual guidance -> from the devil and go forth and conquer every territory you can to achieve the objective.

I consider that move cheating no matter what the map. The person who goes last in freestyle is NOT supposed to go first next turn. I realize that by running out of time folks can do it, but if I run out of time I wait as a matter of respect for the other players.

Sounds like a bug that needs to be fixed in CC in general.

well, the airpot is being re-worked, the helipad A in Das Dorf removed, and Das Dorf itself is being re-arranged, i expect you might see something this weekend, but it probably won't be back for play until the next batch of quenches. I would like it debated first.

I am glad I started a few games on this map before it was taken down. I love this map definitely my favorite I have played on. Hopefully this gets worked out and more maps like this are made

Huh, Riazor has a point... the gameplay changes that we are considering - making the early bonuses worth less, making the guns less powerful - are going to fix the 2-4 player games but may also have the effect of making 6-8 player impossible to win, even in escalating card games because everybody will keep turning in cards.
I hate to say it because I really liked the idea of an objective-only game, but it just may not be practical.

Could you just fix it so that the map works for 5-7 players and only let 5-7 player games play on this map. I don't see why it has to be 2-4 player compatible. It would be a shame to not have such a great map

Yes oaktown, io have observed the call for terminator games etc., and that is why i put up the poll to see what people want. I am in favour of removing the entirely objective component, but having the map with the ability to work both.

Oh brandoncfi, dont' worry the map will be back, but today i actually went out and purchased the book, to pick up on other aspects that i might have left out and already there is another path to the castle which wasn't used in the movie which i based this map on. So there is now three ways to get up to the castle, the new one will be a road.
And i don't think that excluding 2-4 player abilities is the answer...i think there is good room for all types of games on this one....we just have to find the right balance.

I too, do think that a balance can be found.
The poll is ambiguous though - my stance is that terminator and assassin games should be allowed, but that they would operate exactly like standard games. - I have no idea which poll option would indicate that!

Yes says to keep the objective but not allow the terminator or assassin games.

My apologies if my english comprehension doesn't fit all sizes....benji

hey cairns, just a couple of things that i got from actually PLAYING the map
1) From what you had basically told us in the thread, it was only gonna be the people with the parachutes with starting points, not once (i think, or that i found) did you tell us about the other starting points (if u did i missed it)
2) The bonuses are to large to me, at least for 2 player. For 2 player, you basically dont get to do anything if your the last one to the cp's, cause with the A's being able to bombard, you can get out finally and find out that your 1 opponent has like 16 guys on each cp, and then your trapped and he can bombard you back to your starting point.
3) I love the graphix, but theres a lot of stuff thats really small, that makes it that i miss it really easily, and as i said the bonuses were to high when you do 1vs1

i have just won a game of this map in the same manner as yourself by gaining all objectives, but you have to hold them for a round....i don't know if you have done enough to hold those objectives especially Kom. Wilhelm.
If the other players are ignorant of how they can jump around to crush your hold, you might just win at the beginning of your next turn.

yes - i was hoping that if i ran out of time i would get to go straight after, and i would have forted kom wilhelm but it was chained forts 
so now im stalking that game and hoping i can get in there!
