Quench it already. It's a gorgeous example of why the Foundry rocks. Where's Andy with his XML Passed and Quench stamps when you need him?

What a map, RJ. Definitely one of the top three most beautiful maps on the site. Can't wait to play it.

WM - that's a serious compliment. Means a lot coming from the resident shopkeeper!

lmao normally shopkeepers have little respect, but [b]our[/n] shopkeeper is special, and good at graphics!
and yes - i agree the textures are prolly the best on the site!
well done on another great map Rj
Re: Iceland [I, Gp, Gr, FF] (Final Images/XML pg-21)
What... Andy's been floating around the foundry tonight.. and I keep waiting to see the quench in this title!

Re: Iceland [I, Gp, Gr, FF] (Final Images/XML pg-21)
This map should be a case study in how to impart an ethos from the most minimal of design elements. It's the only map on this site that I wouldn't mind seeing on my wall. Well done RJ.
Re: Iceland [I, Gp, Gr, FF] (Final Images/XML pg-21)
I just had an idea, not sure if you would want to do it, but you listed this fact:
Iceland is alone in upholding another Norse tradition, i.e. the custom of using patronymics rather than surnames; and Icelander´s Christian name is followed by his or her father´s name and the suffix -son or -dóttir, e.g. Guðrún Pétursdóttir (Guðrún, daughter of Pétur). Members of a family can therefore have many different "surnames", which sometimes causes confusion to foreigners!
Maybe you would want to incorporate that into your sig on the map? (i.e. RjBeals ...son [i think that's what applies, and you can put whatever you want to put in the ... area]).

Ha.. that's kind of interesting - but I think only about 10 people on the whole site would get it. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think just my screen name suits it better.

Hi RJ.
I noticed you had once posted in the Norwegian forum for a translation of Northern, Western, etc to Icelandic.
Do you still want to do that or stick with English? Maybe our Icelandic friends who posted in the thread can help you if it's still something you want to do.

Re: Iceland [I, Gp, Gr, FF] (Final Images/XML pg-21)
I really don't care. I would prefer to leave it how it is now. I kind of like how it is.

Sorry if this has been talked about before, but is it just me or is the north east part of the west fiords burning anyone elses' eyes ?

I don't think anyone has mentioned that. that's a snow covered mountainous region.
I do not want to remove the snow, or turn it gray, so I think it should stay. Sorry about your eyes.
