Do it GI Joe style. It's not that important.

Don't make me turn this into a never going to happen sticky next to Star Wars...

Seems like every month someone wants this and nobody is ever willing to maturely put in the work.

You've got to be kidding me. What an American (or should I say, Saudi Arabian?) way of reasoning. You don't teach human anatomy in schools then either?

Nope,at least for the north americans and europeans,we also have to think on others cultures and religions where it may be unsafe for them.

The Human Skeleton

Post by heirware »

What about a map concerning the human skeleton? The only problem I can think of is that there will be lots of bottlenecks i.e. the head region, arms, legs...

the human body has already been suggested. but the skeletal system may work.

If we do the Skeleton, you can bypass all sorts of questionable material.

but those are the best parts!!! joking of course, human skeleton would actually be a better map then human body which has been suggested numerous times, as each bone could be named, and the "borders" between the "territories" or bones, would be much easier to depict.

I've said it before. A map made up of multiple systems might work. Skeletal system, Digestive system, Cardiovascular system etc..

I started with ideas for a skeleton + muscle map a while ago, I had a bit of a fiddle with some pictures, but ended up having my trial for photoshop expire and I haven't bothered to fix that yet :P I've still got the territory lists if you're interested. Each bone/muscle (major ones) is named.

Here's the image I had started

Image

Of course as mentioned, problems with bottlenecks. I haven't got the territory list immediately onhand, but it's somewhere.

I suppose a possible option around the bottlenecks is a heads and shoulders, knees and toes addition to the map :P or against a virtruvian man backdrop where the hands and feet are connected by lines, such as

Image

A few ideas... I like this map and wanted to do it earlier, but I don't have the graphics skills, I can do the xml tho :P

yeah your map looks good. We could just put lines wherever needed.

Restart when you have something that looks like a map from the person that's going to actually do it. This is a flagged idea:
