1 on 1 freestyle classic map

Post by levi the great »

in 1 on 1 freestyle with the classic map. i did the move where i waited 23 hours and some odd minutes, to where i did my turn and the guy missed his turn.
is this cheating?
a guy left me negative feedback for it, when really, its not against the rules i don't think...

not officially cheating... generally frowned upon though. I would give somebody negative for it, but that's just me. It's pretty unsportsmanlike, but as some say, if people don't want to deal with it they should play sequential.

It's called manipulating the system, so yes, you deserve the negative feedback.

Unfortunately, you are allowed to it. Don't be surprised if other players get pissed off though.

That's a good freestyle move. The other guy is just a whiner. He should have been there 23 hours and 50 minutes after he ended the previous round. It's not your problem he wasn't. He should have been aware of the de facto double turn move, and acted accordingly.

It's certainly not against the rules.

That some people have an issue with it though, doesn't make it a rule violation.

So far this topic has been a never-ending discussion though. But generally, if one doesn't wanna play freestyle, one should play sequential. It's a matter of choice. And since it's such an easy choice, I do not understand why people keep complaining.

It's legit but cheap, so don't complain if you get a negative. Negative feedback isn't meant to report cases of rule breaking anyway.

You should consider changing your negative response to, "Don't play freestyle if you can't handle it you whiny little bitch."
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

So you think that everyone should have to be online at a particular time of day to be allowed to play freestyle? ...

Has nothing to do with being allowed or not.

But, if you are not able to be there when the rounds switch, you take a calculated risk. That risk is part of freestyle, people are aware of it shouldn't whine when they loose out due to it.

Most people find sequential to be a nicer thing to play though. And playing seq. is definitely to recommend if you don't have the time or energy to play good freestyle.

there are no rules in war

Post by calkid »

what you did is allowed and because it is allowed and a good move on your part, he left negative feedback? well he sounds like a whiner to me. a bad sport and sportsman. someone had called you that but i disagree. there are no rules to war. if people don't like freesyle and what you can do in freestyle then they shouldn't play....PERIOD. i say find him setting up a 1 vs. 1 freestyle and do it to him a again. he deserves it for being a baby. teach him a leson to eitehr learn how to play or play another type of game.

THIS IS WAR BABY! THERE ARE NO RULES TO PROTECT PANSY ASSES!

skill of the player is being able to play any type of setting (different cards, maps, fortifications) and still being able to win

this will annoy other people but if it workes for you then its a good tactic. Ive never used it but dosnt it mean the other player will then come back with twice the armies next round??

Talk about exploiting freestyle. First double turns, now this.

Whatever works for you.

It is generally frowned on. You are cheap. I think it's called "abusing the clock". You fail.

Interesting 9 months bump there. :D

But as this strategy isn't available any more I think we got the judgement on whether it was fair or not.

Didn't check the date, and I was very confused, as I was thinking "I thought it was a 12 hour time period..."
