I have some bad news. I need to take a short leave of absence from CC while I deal with some issues regarding my extended family and while I deal with semester finals. I have updated all of my tournaments as of today (April 8th). All players who needed reminders have had their reminders sent, all standings are updated as of today, and most of you should have plenty of games to keep you busy for the next two weeks.

My goal is to return sooner, but at the very latest I will return on April 20th to run all of my updates and get things running again. I realize that this will leave some of you without new games for a little while, but please bear with me as I get these things sorted out so that I can provide you with the best tournaments possible. I would rather take a break and get the drama sorted out in real life so that it doesn't spill over to CC.

If you have any need of a Tournament Director while I am gone, please feel free to contact Steelhorse or Night Strike and they'll get you taken care of just fine.

I have returned, and we've got a nice big standings update for you.

Batch 13 was just sent out to all players, so join up quick! I'll be doing Batch 14 next weekend, and so on down the line as normal from here on out. The standings are fully updated, except I forgot to include the bonus game that has finished. I'll do that with the next update in about a week or so.

Okay, several things to report today it looks like.

I have sent reminder PMs to about 7 players; however, it seems that at least 3 or 4 of them may be gone for good, and I think one of them may even have been busted as a multi recently, so I will give them a couple days as usual, and when I send out Batch 14, I will adjust the Batch 13 games as necessary.

Also, lot's of new completed games, so I've recorded them and will post the standings when I get back to my other computer. I made sure to include the bonus points for our one bonus game winner this time as well.

I have gotten replacement games out to everyone who did not have all their players in to this point. I will not be making any more batches of games until further notice.

This week we lost 6 players, and at the rate we are going we won't have enough players to finish the current Era in any semblance of order.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

To all Allspark League Participants,

I pains me to have to come to this current situation where the league has deteriorated to the point where I cannot fill the games properly on a regular basis. When everyone signed up for this league it was with the understanding that it was a long-term commitment, but apparently due to real-life and other reasons very few have been able to keep that commitment, and I am losing 4-5 players each week at this point.

Now, it simply is not fair to the players who have been around for a long time (the beginning) to continue to have to combat against new players, replacement games, etc. The whole idea of this league was to make it something that people really wanted to be a part of and that they wanted to have a shot at participating in. I apologize for the mess that it has become, and the fact that I have let you guys down by not having things up to snuff as I usually do.

Here is what is going to happen from this point forward:

1. The Autobot Era will have no games past Batch 14. I am suspending the creation of new games pending a significant revamp of the league format. All games will be finished that are currently active and we will pick our champion when they are all complete.

2. The scoring system is going to get a re-do as I am realizing it is not the most ideal for what we are trying to accomplish here. It will not be anything too drastic, but I am going to consult with some of my trusted organizer friends to try and hammer out a better approach.

3. When the league relaunches, there will be a set of requirements that must be met to participate. It won't be anything too drastic, just something along the lines of X number of games completed, premium membership, participation in at least 1 or 2 prior tournaments, etc. It will still be available to a majority of players, but we are going to weed out the people who show up for 3 games and then disappear.

4. There may or may not be two separate sets of standings upon relaunch.

5. All current participants will be given the opportunity to either opt-in or opt-out of the revamped league which will then determine how many players will be involved total.

So, those are the steps I am going to take, and I hope that I have not let all of you down. I am targeting the re-launch to be no later than June 1st 2008 as I have already started working on some of the details.

Once again, I am sorry for the inconvenience, and I'll get it right soon.
