the world is round because the center of the earth has a lot of gravity pull, and when the earth formed, the gases and matierials formed around the center where all the suface of the earth has a pretty much even distance from the center, nomatter where it is on the earth.

So you can cut the pie into equal pieces while having equal amounts of crust and filling. It also makes it easier to take out of the pan once cooked, and helps heat get to all of the pie evenly while it is being cooked.

Because cakes have more substance and therefore can hold themselves together. Also because if cakes were round then there would be a word to encompass them both (cakes and pies), and the two arts would be merged, and dessert cooking would come to a disastrous halt.

Steal his lawn gnome and torture it outside his window. When it looks all gruesome on one side and not the other, hold it so he sees the side that is normal, invade his house, and say "Give me my lawn gnome or yours will take a severe beating. He will nervously give you your lawn gnome. You can then give him his lawn gnome that has a gruesome looking tortured face and maniacally cackle as you leave his house. That'll work!

But if you do that, they will suffer no misery. Make them slaves to you. Control them Conquer them and rule them with an iron scepter.

Strike and purposely miss to strike fear into the hearts of the gnomes. Destroy the turrets with the mortar shells and invade. Hold a grenade in your hand and bloodcurdlingly scream "Follow me if you want to live!" The gnomes will follow you and become your slaves. The ones who don't, you can kill.
