I have read the rejected one and I know it is not an new idea. It is just a new way to add it. The ones before where offering it tp everyone which has room for alot of abuse. By adding it to just private or speed games would be best because unrated private games would usually be set up for playing friends if they want unrated. I say speed game because if the other person goes missing it is no big deal because the game will be over soon enough. The unrated game could go into your finished game when it is done, but when it falls off that list it will be completely gone. The whole pointing of doing it this way would be able to give people an option to learn, but they either have to know some one who has paid to get into a private game or it will cost them to become a member. So basically it is another incentive to becoming a paying member because because most people to what I have seen wait 10-20 games before becoming a member. The ones that become a member from the start basically player the board or computer game.

Re: Unranked Games Option *Rejected*
I see that this has been dead for a while but since i thought about this option independently last night, in my mind it's still current. Particularly as i couldn't find the post where a mod explained why it was rejected.
There seems to be enormous support for this idea. It's the first step to move away from the point/rank system which, i believe, is becoming the achilles heel of this site and move towards a range of official CC tournaments.
Far too much importance is placed on points and rank. Everyone knows this, the points system is the scourge of fair play and is too often cited as the reason to kill good ideas.

I would love this. If there was a Poll, I have no doubt that "yes" would be off the charts.

Re: Unranked Games Option *Rejected*
Why is this rejected? If someone wants to remain on the top of the chart, they could just play RISK the board game instead of online; offering unranked games gives people a service, allowing them to play just-for-fun games online. I don't even see why it needs to be limited to a few a month; if people want to raise or lower their rank, they take part in scored games. And there's that rule, that you have to play a (ranked) game once a month. Having this option wouldn't effect that.
This rejection is invalid, until we can hear a concrete reason.

Re: No Points Games!
Thats a great idea......
As you said, it would allow players to tackle maps that they dont know ie: Crosswprd Map/Chinese Checkers, i aint got a clue how to play em!
Great Suggestion

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who know Binary and those who don't.

Re: No Points Games!
having a quick look, no points wasnt rejected. points restrictions is though, but this would help tackle the problem. Then I'd play Bamboo Jack without worrying about losing for a few times for example!

Didn't I suggest this very thing about 6 months ago? It was blasted to bits.

Maybe instead of a quick look, you need to have a more in-depth look. It's second from the bottom. In the rejected list.Kemmler wrote:having a quick look, no points wasnt rejected.

Perhaps is too difficult to add this for normal games, but it would be appsolutly GREAT if it could be added to tournament games. Because then the high ranked players wouldnt be scared to lose up to 100 points in a game versus a cook.
But as people already have said, it would also be good to have such games when you are practicing on a new type of map.

I wasn't looking for 'unranked'.
Anyway, sometimes things rejected are used... have a look at the rejected list if you're so bothered, some things were actually implemented

So no explanation for the rejection?
