There's no way this should be imposed on mods; like they've said, if you don't like it, then don't join. But it's just something they can keep in mind while making a game. Personally, I don't care, but I don't think that wicked's being unreasonable just by mentioning it. IF she had tried to impose a rule, then I'd be unhappy with this thread, but she hasn't.
But she hasn't just 'mentioned' it, in all the games she is in she refuses to vote in accordance to the game mod's rule and she started this whole thing by insulting game mods. If she had just made the thread to discuss this without the aforementioned points then I would have been happy to support either way. I don't care about the votes all that much, but mods should not be treated this way after all the work they put into their games to begin with.
Everything confuses and enrages me! Raaaargh Join Discord groupfor multiplayer gaming and general nonsense.
However, I'll be sitting on the fence with this one.
I don't use coloured votes, because I can notice bolded black just fine. In fact, I notice bolded black more than other colours.
However, I suppose other mods use colour to make their games unique? If so, fine.
It isn't difficult to colour your votes, but at the same time, it's a valid point. Do as you wish.
one tiny point that hasn't been mentioned i always bold my votes but occasionally forget the colour - this is easily fixed elsewhere in forums with a quick edit but in mafia games its a pain as (with good reason) editing of posts is not allowed - another reason why im an advocate of bold not colour.
also in one game i was in i had the right colour but my vote was still not counted by lovo as is was not in bold (stargate game)
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.
When I started my Deadwood game i chose bold blue for 2 reasons
1) so i could see it better. saying the mods are lazy when you don't want to do something? wow.
2) to keep the random vote hopping down. if people had to put thought into posting their vote they had to put more thought into each vote period. For someone who tends to call everyone else stupid you should appreciate a game mechanic that forces more thought.
and finally standardization is for sheep. if you can't keep games straight either don't play so many or make flash cards.

BTW, what ever happened to that mafia mod usergroup? This seems like something they could tackle. It's 17-14 for not wanting random colored vote in every game.

we have a thread on it. Generally the consensus is blue though some people are also suggesting green and red
