ignore list + negative feedback. that's what i'd do if a moron joined my private game regardless of how easy my password is.
if a game is private and i wasn't invited then i won't try joining.
btw some tournaments have really easy passwords like "1-2" or "round1game3", does that mean that morons should start joining random tourney games?? of course not because that would ruin the fun for others.
PS: jamie just made my ignore list.

Jamie, in my opinion you did not bypass the security controls - you used the security controls as intended: using a password. Nor was it unauthorized. The password IS the authorization, like a bearer bond or cash.
If possessing the password is in fact NOT authorization, then the game system designers should have implemented at least a half-ass method of inviting players by granting authorization to specific credentials, a pattern implemented in a zillion other systems. They didn't; so I say keep crashing until they do.

So because it is easy to break in it's okay?
You don't coincedentally rob houses if they leave the door open, do you?

Learn how to actually read. That wasn't what I wrote, and that wasn't my point.
My point was that he wasn't violating the rules he agreed to when he signed up to play CC.
There's a million shithead things you can do on CC that aren't violating the rules. This was just yet another one.
The software controls in place are lacking; and that was my point.

Lacking though they may be, that doesn't avoid the fact that Jamie (and anybody doing the same thing) is, as you so aptly put it, a Shithead.cleveridea wrote:There's a million shithead things you can do on CC that aren't violating the rules. This was just yet another one.

So it's official kids, Jamie is a Shithead.
Word is motherfucking bond.

If you are speaking to me (I can't tell if you are), then what is also plain wrong is all the people who voted that it's wrong and yet don't hold the caretakers of the system to put a software control in place.
For instance, we could roll our own dice physically and input the values. Putting in inflated rolls would be be plain wrong too. But we bundle the expectation of software controls with the value of the CC service in general.
My point is that as long as people can easily defeat the software control and people are complaining about it, a significant onus is on the caretakers to implement a fix. Just hoping the jackasses will stop being jackasses really isn't a solution no matter how warm and fuzzy it makes you feel by pointing out how plain wrong it is.
Then again if this isn't a big problem and people aren't complaining much, then the caretakers have an insignificant onus to resolve.

actually it's in the 70ish%...someone was bound to say it, so i thought I should....
plus, not many people voted, compared to the amount of people that play, so it could be higher or lower....
but i was kinda close.....
our point was still proven....it's wrong to do...
Edit: Another vote for "Yes" while i was typing this message, so it's going in our favor even more

I personally find it hilarious. Especially when you are the final one in on doubles game and they all start blaming each other about giving the password to you. And you go on to make things worse by saying one of them did it and the others get really pissed off. And then the other team asks you to lose on purpose because you cheated your way in. One of the bes gaems I played on this site.
And it taught all of you a lesson of not having easy to guess passwords. Talk to the1exile. You will never ever guess one of his passwords. Serve you right really.
