Optimus Prime Anniversary Tournament

The date was March 12, 2007, and on that date, a new robot made himself known in the land of Conquer Club: Optimus Prime. He came, as we have all discovered, not to conquer but to create many tournaments. And so in his honor we offer up this tournament on the first anniversary of the creation of a legend.

There will be 128 players. Freemiums are welcome. All players who have won an OP tournament in the past year get an automatic invite as does Luxurious and of course OP. The rest are open sign ups.

This tournament is modeled after OP's own franchise: Point Grabbers. To that end, all games are 1 vs 1. Lackattack has generously donated one year of premium membership to the winner.

Round 1 (128 players): USA map (used in PGI, PGIII, PGVI and ASPG)
Round 2 (64 players): Ireland map (used in PGI, PGIV, PGV, SPG and ASPG)
Round 3 (32 players): British Isles map (used in PGII, SPG and ASPG)
Round 4 (16 players): Extreme Global Warming map (used in SPG and PGIV)
Round 5 (8 players): Portugal map (used in PGV and PGVI)
Round 6 (4 players): Eastern Front map (used in SPG and PGIII)
Round 7 (2 players): Classic map (used in PGVI, ASPG) and will be a best of three series.

The most common settings in the Point Grabber series have been sequential, flat rate, chained, and, of course, sunny, so we'll use those here as well.

So......I woke up this morning to a message from barterer2002 that said he needed me to go look at a thread. I think to myself, "Oh great, what happened now?" and click on the link.

Much to my surprise (and great excitement as well) I discover that a tournament has been launched in honor of me. Although, I'm not quite sure I'm a legend, there are far more greater than me around here.
