In the thread that you locked down, I don't believe there was any anti-Muslim statements made. I agree that perhaps there was fertile ground for such statements to be made, but none had been made by my judgement.

But how can you lock a thread down for Muslim bashing when the atheists in the forums bash Christians (and vice versa) all the time? They should have their threads locked as well.

I have nothing but a deep respect for the Muslim religion and faith, and i do not believe any statements were being made in an anti-Muslim mannner.

However, there is a difference between being a Muslim and being a terrorist. We should be allowed to bash terrorists all day long, in my opinion, as long as it doesn't cross the line into bashing a specific race or religion. It falls more into the realm of politics than any thing else.

Just like I can say Bush Sucks! and not fear the mods locking the thread down for BUSH bashing, the same should apply if I might say OSAMA BIN LADEN BLOWS BIG FAT DONKEY DICKS!

Just because I speak ill of Osama, does that mean that I am bashing ALL Muslims? No, of course not. Just as me saying Bush is an moronic idiot should not piss off all the Methodist Christians.

Did khazalid's thread deserve a ban? I don't believe so, in my opinion. But of course I don't think Xtra and Norse should have been banned as well, so my judgement must be a little askew. :wink:

There was no "muslim bashing" in that thread. People have been ridiculing idiots who believe that blowing themselves up is their ticket to Heaven. Those idiots aren't muslim, and equating them with muslim (which Wicked did) IS an insult to Islam.

i think you misconstrue me slightly.. my only problem with terrorism is when its used to further selfish ends. and on that note, i think that if heaven is a level of consciousness rather than an abstract territory then you can get there easily enough with trinitrotoleum and some moral philosophy

Unintentionaly, but yes. I would imagine that any Muslim would be more offended by the fact that someone is equating him/her to a terrorist, then by the fact that someone is making fun of those terrorists for being terrorists.

Her real problem is that she locks first and then tries to offer a reason when someone calls her on it. If she took some time to figure out whom the posts are bashing first, she wouldn't have to stubornly justify her mistake later (unless CC's new forum policy includes promoting tolerance towards terrorists

her problem is that shes very busy! i got unbanned after like 3 minutes anyway..

it cant be all that rewarding modding this place, no wicked bashing on my accord please.

I want to know why nothing was said about the muslim hate speech in the thread... The statement that read something like "if they blow you up you deserve it." How come they are allowed to preach hatred towards everyone and I cannot state anything in response? Why wasn't the thread immediatly closed for this reason?
