barterer2002 wrote:what difference does Sequential/freestyle matter in a 1 on 1 game? Except that the challenger goes first-since the champion picks the setting why would they do that?

If you know when your opponent is playing, you can grab a bonus, end the round, and start your turn right after they start, before they can break it. Also, playing at the same time as someone else is an experience if you haven't tried it.

I suppose so. I just wouldn't want to give a challenger that advantage.

"Also"? ...have you not reset the forum to show your local time zone?

Oh, and the freestyle thing... I agree with barterer2002. In a 2-player game, you're just giving up an advantage, unless you can live by your computer to take advantage of grabbing your turn the INSTANT they start theirs in a later round.

I do not have the luxury of that sort of time, so I avoid freestyle games.

Ok I worked it out. So if I'm GMT - 8 that would make GMT time 8am for new rounds Monday/Thursday morning.

If nobody has claimed it thus far it is your and you are in the tourney. Even if somebody had the map you wanted you could always break into the tourney through challenging for the map.
