Coach flex steps down
In an alarming move, Oregon State has fired coach flex in the middle of his NIT tournament game. The school cited terrible strategy and a poor finish to the 2007 season, as the main reasons for the coaching change.
"We expect to be in the NCAAs every year, and we didn't agree with the way that flex was putting the players through warm-ups," OSU athletic director Stu Pid said.
Beavers' supporters became increasingly frustrated when flex decided to go after Europe early on in his NIT game, attacking a bunch of neutrals to get it done.
"What an idiot," said one unnamed booster. "I could coach better than that."
That pushed flex over the edge, as he handed his clipboard to an assistant and walked to the locker room.
"I'm here trying to help these kids," flex said. "Sure, going for Europe in that manner was like handing the ball to my worst player and telling him to shoot, shoot, shoot. But doesn't that player need to feel good, too?"
Luckily for flex, representatives of Portland State University were waiting in the locker room with a caseful of Pepsi and a contract for the 2008 season.
"I can't wait to lead the Vikings into promising new places," flex said.

In a game that describes exactly what the NCAA tournament represents, #1 Boston College edges by the #8 Wisconsin Badgers in a back and forth game that was decided by a few clutch shots at pivotal points. Hats off to vykingsfan, he's got a hot hand from long range and ran his press defense like a pro.

Promising season about to come to an end all due to the fact that I forgot to click End Fortification and end my turn once.

After falling behind by a dozen midway through the second half, Missouri State called a timeout. It was effective because the players turned up the heat on defense. The team forced many turnovers and made their free throws down the stretch in route to a strong come from behind win.
Oh the Madness!

Superior by CC rank, yes.
Superior by Tournament seed, no.
Anywho, moot point. I did say the defense (a.k.a. your bad dice) won the game for me.

Don't think it still matters, but Texas A&M beat Drake in 1809700.

Creighton made an unbelievable game with several over-times. Actually, wonderful was the energy drink (cards) that 5 times in a row gave 10-point lead in just a few minutes.
Go, Creighton!
My opponent had nothing against that kind of luck but he put up as best luck as possible.

Sorry about that Keellan...I hate to see a fine season end that way, too.
I'm working on a way to alter next year's tournament games, so that there is still a chance for the upset, while also making it fair so one bad drop doesn't kill off a team.

and it is not like CancerMerchant is not a good player - he is actually one of the 2 or 3 best players I have ever played on CC - he actually had bad luck through most of this season and took over a bad team mid way through the year.
The one thing I would change is to not use the standard map for the tourny because it is more prone to unfair drops in my opinion.
