about map, not how to say english words

Post by ttocs »

I think it is a great idea, but the map is pretty poorly done. The map makers could have done much better, some of the planets are spelled wrong, and the continents seem to be off value for the armies they get. It could also easily run into copyright problems too, as poorly the map is done. There is always someone in america who will sue too get some extra cash.

Mabye everyone here who is interested in the map can discuss a basic outline for the map, that would be a cool conversation.

However, we could run into a problem when/if lack ever starts taking donations to keep the site up.

Fixed.

Star Wars Map?

Post by SolidLuigi »

has anyone ever attempted a Star Wars map? using the different planets and systems in the storyline i figured there were enough places to make a good map. I figured Id ask because it seems like someone would have already thought of this since its so popular, if no ones doing it though I would like to attempt to make a map, I'm new here so I don't know all the guidelines but I might be able to make a rough draft soon

Tried many times, frankly i have no idea how middle earth got through, but star wars, narnia or any other maps of that kind rarely get through due to copyright. I think theres been quite a few star wars maps but none have worked.

oh ok, I figured there was some reason why there wasnt one. I didn't think it was a copyright issue because there was a middle earth map, oh well.

Middle earth got thru because Mr K or whoever it was who made it made a deal with the JRR Tolkien place or whatever, and he got to use it as long as he drew it completely himself.

I'm sorry, but no one posted in this thread for 4 months and it was already stated that it was abandoned. Then you come on to post saying it doesn't look good?

Star Wars:Republic at War

Post by darth_mascurse »

Hi!

I just read all the rules for making a map and I'm surprised that I don't see any suggestions for a star wars map!

I have a VERY good image file and am quite willing to do the work of putting the map together.

I'm still working on updating the file so that it will work for a Conquer Club map, but if this post gets some positive replies I'll get to work on it!

darth_mascurse

P.S. If the person who is charge of mapmaking would please give me a PM, I'd be greatly pleased!!!!

THANKS!!

Star Wars has been suggested many times, but no one has attempted it because of copyright concerns.

I think that it would be a great idea, but I think the worries about copyright are well founded, especially with a theme like Star Wars.
But it is a good idea. \:D/

darth_mascurse has 23 games and in 15 of them there's also Darth_Dispayre

but looking at the games and how they have split victories i'd say they are friends not multis.
