I just missed the 80's by a few months. I feel sorry for myself for growing up in the 90s. Worst. Decade. Ever. Lots of horrible music, not to mention the fashion  What I remember from my earlier years: The girls would either dress very boyish or slutty. I remember we'd wear the baggy pants with lots of pockets, and always layerings (with the t-shirt on the outside), or the super short tanktops showing the entire belly and very high shoes. (The platform ones, not stilettos).. And I remember we all wore some horrible really tight black necklace things with matching bracelets (some people wore those high around their arms too).. And we'd all part our hair in the middle, push our hair behind our ears, and leave a few straws of hair down on both sides of our faces.. (this all might be early 00's too, but it still all comes back to the fact that I was born in 1990) The music I remember is "hit me baby one more time", lots and lots of boybands.., spice girls and a few rappers. Great childhood.

About a year older then you, but I know exactly what you are talking about.

I'm Blue (Dabadi Dabadie) still haunts me to this day. :x

I was born on September 8, 1970...Richard Nixon was still president. The peace movement was in full scale. I remember watching the Apollo rocket taking off in 1972 for the last moon landing (that was the last one, wasn't it?). I remember corduroy bell bottom pants and Hippie choker necklaces. I remember watching kids make out in public! Bill Cosby was popular on LP records, and I remember listening to his "Chicken Heart" comedy routine!

a bit younger than you so I kinda missed what was going on. Especially since I grew up in Post soviet-russia so I really didn't have any contact with the American culture at all

Also born in 1993, though my knowledge of pop culture was messed up after becoming an outcast in a way. Just due to how I acted. (Yes my love for POkemon helped some.)

What! Do not blaspheme against the 90s! As an 80s child I grew up, for most of my conscious years, in the 90s!

The music was to notch (at least in the UK) - Golden Era Hip-Hop, The Rave Scene, Grunge, Proper Indie (Norse style), The evolution of Hardcore to Drum n Bass, you could still pick up a guitar and join a band without having to wear skinny jeans and wear a palestinian scarf...
