Your opinions on posters

Post by Dariune »

Hi all

There have been a few threads which have basically been popularity threads recently. Now judging from the various responces to this thread and the relative popularity of the posts i would like to add my own flavour of popularity thread. So please be warned that if you dont like this kind of thing then dont partake in it.

Now i think this has been done before but i see no harm in doign it again.

On to the post.

When ever we log on there are genrally people we log on to speak to. Peoples whose posts make us want to reply. People Who interest you or make you laugh or that you find attractive. There are also people who piss you off, make you annoyed or just make you not want to reply. Tghis thread is for you to tell those people who they are and why.

Give a list of favoured people and a description of why and then if you feel the need do a list of people you would rather not speak to and again a description (please be aware that this is not a thread to flame and so please keep all posts civil and respectful)

Ok peeps, fire away :)

Ok i will go first by posting a few people.

The cause of this thread is to let people know what you think of them, we all liek to be told we are liked because of X,Y and Z and so thats why i created this thread. So here we go ...

Favored posters

AnarkistsDream - I tend to enjoy his posts primarily because he is funny and acts like he doesnt really care. he seems to be a bit of a lad and i can imagine he and i getting drunk at the pub and struggling to make it home

Diddle - he seems like a genuinly nice lad. he rarely has a nasty word to say and i imagine when he does say something less than savoury i can imagine he has good reason

Guiscard - this guy seems to be unable to post anything which isnt interesting. Someone obviously with an intellect far higher than mine i just like reading what this guy has to say about the world, regardless of whether i agree with his points.

Apey - She is sweet and happy pretty much all the time, she likes to tease the lad but does not beg for attention like some do. I tend to enjoy her posts pretty much 100% of the time.

Snowpepsi - Another person who seems to have a wide knoledge of the world and someone who does not mind being silly in the forum games threads while at the same time being deadly serious in these threads.

Serbia - i dont think you could find a bloke more down to earth and decent than Serbia in CC. Defo one of my favorate posters.

Im not going to post my less favoured posters for now but that gives an idea of what i was after :)

Can't say there is anyone a truly dislike. I avoid reading several posters posts, because I just feel brain cells dying as I read.

There are many quality posters on.

People who make me laugh regularly:
Suggs
DM
AD
NickBaldwin
DAZ
Norse (R.I.P)
BK
Kalish
Snorri
VI
A few others I am sure I am forgetting.

People who will always instigate a reply from me:
Prowler
Whump
Billy07

People whos posts I avoid due to sheer idiocy:
MM
Cawk mongler
Remi
anyone from BH
Few others on this list I cant remember as well.

People who make me think:
Suggs (go figure)
DM
Muy Thai
AD
Ambrose (although I avoid his religious stuff)

I find people have particular topics that they are very insightful about, and others area that they think they are insightful about.

Forgot about the Guiscard, he is one of those who always has something of relevance and quality. I like him in spite of his frenchiness.

Oh, you had to get me started. My likes:

Dariune - he makes me want to flirt. (I'm married, I can only flirt with my hubby.) I like to look at his avi's. I like his sweetness. I like his humor and his wit. I like his maturity. I feel like I know him. His posts are always interesting.

Apey - she's my cc bestfriend, the person that always builds me up. She's pervy with the guys, something I will never be, but it works for her and it makes me laugh. Her posts are always funny.

Strike Wolf - he has a geat sense of humor, but forces me to be mature. Maybe because looking at his wolf makes me feel like I'm looking at someone wise. I'm trying to get to know him one post at a time. His posts are always interesting.

Anarkistsdream - he is supreme coolness. I wanna be like him when I grow up. And I know I can out drink him. My parents were both born in Oklahoma. He is a writer. He is supreme coolness, need I say more.

Everyone else I'm just getting to know, so haven't decided what I like about each of them, yet.

I don't want to talk about the ones I don't like. I don't like to be mean. And if I even get started I think that what I say will be mean. What I don't like about their posts though are:

Perviness
Conspiracy Theories
Perviness
Extreme Foul Language
and Perviness.

i would like to add Strike wolf to my favoured list
he is one of the old friends i had here and one i always look out for when he posts. Seems like a loyal guy (though that might be the avatar) and he is a VERY good conversationalist

wow, i'm impressed i've even made enough of an impact to make it onto someone's list... even if it is to be ignored.

i'm new here, and have been spending too much time in the forums, that's for sure. but right now, i tend to like reading anything that's well written.

since i'm from the East Coast in the USA, profanity doesn't bother me at all. i mean f*ck, we say f*ck so fucking often that it doesn't have much meaning. i know you midwesterners and other might be offended by that stuff, and i'm sorry. i should work more at keeping my language clean enough for network tv.

but onto the topic. there are some posters that are more witty than others, and i'll leave it at that. i have discovered that there seem to be a number of very deep and long seated rivalries between people on this site, and i'm not sure i wanna get involved.
have you ever seen an idealist with grey hairs on his head?
or successful men who keep in touch with unsuccessful friends?
you only think you did
i could have sworn i saw it too
but as it turns out it was just a clever ad for cigarettes.

I'll give it a go.......

Dariune - He's the most real person on here. I get the feeling everything he says is true and he'd never lie. Maybe I'm in love. ( )

Firth, Jnd and MM - Basically, we all have quite a bit in common. I can laugh and joke with them, and I don't feel like I'm being talked down to, or they're kissing my ass. (Although that would be nice)

Skittles! - I idolise him. No idea why, it just sorta happens. Again, maybe I'm in love. (No " " this time  )

Apey - I think the fact that she's made such a great impression on pretty much everybody in such a short space of time is a credit to her. Keep up the good work! =D>

Vincent M - I know this selection is a bit dated, but I don't care. Out of everyone who I've ever met on this site, he was my favourite. I loved talking to him, reading his posts, and I miss the shit out of him.

Nark - I can't really say anything that others haven't already said, and I know this might suprise him, because we've never really spoken, but he's somebody on here that I do genuinely look up to.

You never get pervy with me. And I can overlook your perviness with each other. It's not rank. Pervy yes, disgustingly pervy no.

You know the F bomb, doesn't bother me. It's the using of God's and Jesus' names in vain. That really hurts my heart. I find it very disrespectful. But the extremely foul words to me, are usually the ones that describe body parts. I guess that goes right back to the perviness.
