I PM'ed a couple of people who were from Quebec to check out the territory names. I'll also talk to my friends who are on CC and get them to check it out. I think it looks really good and would play very nicely.
Maybe we would get more comments if this was moved to the Foundry and out of ideas? eh? meh? anyone?

thanx... i was on my laptop this afternoon trying to catch up, and this thread slowed me down!
first look, initial thoughts:
• bonuses are high
• you have a lot of natural impassables in this region (water) but you have so many bridges and dotted lines that you don't take advantage of them.
the gameplay and graphics don't give me any sense of the region's flavor.

i haven't read the whole thread, so sorry if this was mentioned already.
i can tell from the legend what bonus Aniticostie is part of, but its green looks a bit darker than Duplessis and Gaspesie.
and i can't tell which continent Magdalen Island is part of. in the legend it looks like it's part of the +2 continent, but on the map it looks like its part of the +4 continent.
is it actually a shared border?

graphically this one really misses the mark for me, and I think I've figured out why. It looks like a bunch of flat, two dimensional elements sitting on a spherical object. Clearly you guys are going for a Canada revamp/Great Lakes look (almost to the point of this being a rip-off of Canada), but the territories in both of Widowmakers' maps maintain a sense of perspective consistent with the overall look. The territories on this map don't.

for me, this map of the area doesn't ring true, as it gives no sense of the way in which the people of quebec are huddled close to the st lawrence river. u can solve this by including as many of the quebec regions as possible and not combining them needlessly (for example, there is plenty of room to have laurentides, lanaudiere and montreal instead of lumping them all into one territory). there are 17 listed on the quebec government website, although u are right to show nunavik separately.

do draw in st pierre & miquelon rather than wiping it off the map! it can belong either to no continent at all or give a +1 additional bonus only if the holder has either newfoundland or eastern quebec.

I like the idea of adding st. pierre.
So, are there any updates with this? Any new graphics, and more discussion about adding St. Pierre? I like the idea, and I can also get behind the fact that there are alot of borders.
So, what about something like this:
Eliminate border from Magdelan Islands to Cape Breton. Also eliminate border from Madelan Island to Newfoundland. Add a border from Cape Breton to Newfoundland. Newfoundland should be hard to get to but easy to hold, like in real life. Eliminate the border from PEI to New Brunswick. Now there are not so many borders around Nova Scotia & PEI. Then you could get a plus one for holding ST. Pierre if you hold all of Nova Scotia or something.
We need to get some more feedback... I think the only way to do that is to continue to update and make suggestions.

The colors look really good. I think the top banner looks a little cheesy. I'm not a graphics kinda girl, so I'm not really sure what i could suggest that would be better. Maybe a little nice font, and fitting it into the map a little more, and adding bonuses? Or maybe ditchin the black and continue with the water-looking colors?
