Lift Fog of War for players eliminated from game

Post by MoreTeaVicar »

Hi all

I'm a newbie both on Conquer Club and to the forum.

I've just been eliminated from a game in which I thought I was doing quite well. (Obviously not well enough!) However as the fog of war still lies on the battlefield I can neither see the layout of opponents on the map nor make an educated guess from the game log as all countries are replaced by ?????.

Would it e possible to 'lift' the fog of war for eliminated players.

I appreciate this shouldn't be introduced in a team game.

Cheers for a great site

I think the reason this isn't done is because you might take issue with the player who eliminated you, and give away information. Just wait it out, and use the replay plug in if you want to see what was happening without having to read the log.

More than likely, like was said before me, they don't want you relaying information to one, or both of the remaining players.

This is why you cannot see the "non-fog" board if you aren't playing in the game.

I wouldn't not want it lifted anyways.
Just check back on the game when it is finished, and ask any questions at that time to the players that were in the game.

Hope this helps,
-John

Hi all

Thanks for replies. Not being devious, I had not thought of the possibility of being able to give out information whilst the game was still in progress.

However would it still be possible to lift FOW from games when they are completed without having a 'plug-in. I play using a protected machine on which I am not supposed to download 'unauthorised' programs.

MTV

Cancel all the above, it appears that FOW is removed when the game is finished.
