Should new players at Conquer Club get a PM letting them know about the option of downloading the GM script?

whenever they find out about it then they can use it. That's how i got it....although i have been losing more with it

I don't think its really necessary. there are links on everybody's game page to community notifiers and such. besides to be fair CC can't really promote BOB/CM/insert-fav-script-here without promoting all the other scripts out there equally. imho the less you "bug" people with emails/pms/etc. the better.

I dont think so. Early on its not important as you can just play 4 games and in those games its not a big deal to just count everything. The card counting feature was really the only game affecting thing Bob offered aside from convince. After that was added to the game the usefulness of Bob was greatly reduced. I use to use Bob then it broke and I haven't bothered fixing it yet.
