I don't know if anyone's tried anything like this, but the concept of this tournament is to find the best doubles player, not necessarily the best doubles team.

In Tossed Salad Doubles, you will not have just one partner for the whole tournament. Instead, you will team up with various players within your division, and try to win the most games. Your partner in one game can and will be your opponent in the next.

1. 25 players, in 5 divisions of 5 players each.
2. 5 division winners will advance to the 5-player final
3. In each round, each player will play 2-3 games per week for 5 weeks.
4. Each player's will have 12 total games, partnering with each of the other 4 players 3 times each, and opposing each of the other 4 players 6 times each.

5. Each player will get to choose the settings for 3 of their games.
6. When signing up, choose the following (all games sequential):
a. 3 different maps from the approved list
b. cards: 1 esc, 1 flat, 1 no card
c. forts: 1 cha, 1 adj, 1 cha/adj
7. You will join 2-3 games each week for 5 weeks. Premium is required.

8. Finals will follow as soon as all divisions are clinched.
9. Eligibility: meet either of the following requirements
a. 1600 Rating (at either sign-up or when I seed the divisions)
b. 1400 Rating and 75 games completed (at either sign-up or when I seed the divisions)
10. The player with the most individual wins will be the winner. A player gets credit for a win in a game whenever his team wins, regardless of whether he was knocked out prior to completion of the game.

12. I'll need coordinators for each of the 5 divisions to pull this off. I'll send you the PM template each week for you to forward to the other 4 in your divison. Please let me know when signing up if you would be willing to do this.
13. Players will be seeded 1-25 based on their ranking as of the start of the tournament.
a. Division 1: Seeds 1, 10, 11, 19, 20
b. Division 2: Seeds 2, 9, 12, 18, 21
etc.
14. Tiebreakers
a. First round: least number of rounds in wins, then most number of rounds in losses
b. Finals: Points in first round, then use first round tiebreakers

Age of Realms:Magic

USApocolypse
Midkemdil
Conquer Man
Feudal War
D-Day
Duck and Cover

I'm in.

1. Tamriel - Flat/Chained
2. Europe - Escalating/Adjacent
3. Cairns Coral Coast - No Cards/Chained

Do I have the setting correct? I see entries in which people are choosing the same settings for all. Can they do that?

I also have done a tournament like this before and I'm in a similar one now (Mercenary Team War), but I like this idea so count me in for this one.

This are my 3 maps:

American Civil War
Scotland
Solar System

No Cards, Chained for all.
Highest score: 3130 (9 July 2009)

(if I can only go with 1 map I will take age of might. If I must choose three then here they are).

Some of your map choices are on the "no no no list"

I'd be up for it.

I guess if unlimited isn't an option then I would take Chained.
