Arnold Swarchnegeere is legendary!

Predator SUCKED.

I saw Blues Brothers a few hours ago. GREAT. It's intelligent, but childish, something we can all enjoy.

I also liked the parts of Dr. Strangelove that I saw, never finished it.

Casablanca
It's a Wonderful Life
The Maltese Falcon
High Noon
Mr Smith Goes to Washington
The Magnificent Seven

I understand that "The Seven Samaurai" on which "The Magnificant Seven" is based is even better, a real classic, but I haven't seen it yet. Intend to someday.

Some personal favorites that I can't justify putting in the above company:
Shenandoah
Rio Bravo
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Pirates of the Caribean (1)
A Walk To Remember

It did indeed. But arnold is awesome.
I mean:
*shoot guy with a huge thing and the guy gets stuck to a tree*
Arnold: "Stick around."

How is that not awesome?

Some good selections there. I saw No Country for Old Men and was very impressed, being a fan of Cormac McCarthy. I don't think any other director(s) could have pulled that one off as well as the Coen Bros. did.

Just finished Apocalypse Now...what an adventure. I mean, it wasn't a movie so much as it was an experience. Good job Francis Ford Coppola!

I can't really think of all my favorites....
I haven't seen many movies lately, so a few of these are favorites when I was little.
And yes... I like Chick Flicks. I'm a chick.

Forest Gump
Mrs. Doubtfire
The Labyrinth
The Last Unicorn (I know, a little girl's movie)
Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights
The Princess Bride

Armageddon
Oceans 11
Juno was pretty good
Romeo + Juliet (the new one)
Moulin Rouge
Edward Scissorhands
The Neverending Story (maybe not a favorite, but close)
Proof
A Beautiful Mind
The Notebook
E.T.
Titanic
The Little Mermaid (my favorite old Disney)

There's tons more you guys have already mentioned...
and I am movie deprived.
But these are my favorites =]

You, Me and Everyone We Know

(not to be confused with You, Me and Dupree, perhaps one of the worst films in modern times.)

WHAAAA????????

Luns - strong feelings, sir. 2001 is IMHO the greatest cinematic experience ever. Why so hostile? If it seems like pretentious guff that's only because, like, kubrick ws exploring pretentiousness through the lens, as it were, of human frailty, or something, and anyway you really need to view it in the original Czech.

Nothing makes me more hostile than the HAL-9000

I'm actually just having a bit of fun with you there. It was indeed a groundbreaking movie. Although it's interesting to note that Pan Am airlines went out of business before 2001 even though it's seen shuttling people from earth to the moon in the movie. :D
