I tried to find out what was wrong by going to greasemonkey options in Firefox. I looked at the page that it applied to and it said:
http://www.conquerclub.com/playerspace.php?page=find*

It should have been:
http://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=find

Works now.

isnt an asterick a wildcard which means it shouldve worked anyway?

You must have had stockstr's old version of the script. You either didn't uninstall or didn't check the "all associations" check box when you did uninstall the old script. Notice that the correct page is Player.php - while the incorrect page is PlayerSpace.php (nothing to do with the *).

Did you accidentally delete your browsers cookies?? B/c I think that's what happens to me at times.

Have installed from the link on the forum but there is not an extra button there to save the searches. Is there anything else i have to do?

I have greasemonkey installed and enabled.
firefox ver 2.0.0.11

Thanks

Can you please go to the Game Finder page and then click on Tools --> Error Console and copy and paste that here. I'm fairly stumped.

Also, please list all of your other GM scripts.

I've tried in almost every combination and order of loading/unloading the following scripts (Firefox 2.0.0.0.11):

Conquer Club - BOB (v 3.6.3)
Conquer Club - BOB - Support Script
Conquer Club - Clickable Maps (v 2.2)
Conquer Club - Saved Searches (v 2.22)
Conquer Club - Drop Game Confirmation

ALL Work for me. Whenever I would change a combination I would disable GM, reload Game Finder, enable GM and reload Game Finder again.

BTW - you don't need to actually install the BOB support script...

That is something for me to download and read the version number out of - instead of downloading and reading the version out of a full BOB...

From Tools--> Error Console...
Warning: Unknown property 'filter'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: http://static.conquerclub.com/lightbox/lightbox.css
Line: 24

Other GM scripts...
ConquerTell Notifier
BOB v3.5.7

When i right-click Grease Monkey Conquer Club BOB is on there with a tick next to it. If i were to then go to manage user scripts on the left hand side of the box it has Conquer Club - Saved Searches and Conquer Club - BOB. Both of them have a tick in the enable box.

Trouble with saved searches

I have this script loaded on four different machines, but it only works on two of them. Trying to understand what could be wrong.

Any chance we can get an update to this script to work on the 'Start a Game' page as well? That or a new script?

I think that would be much more useful, as there's a lot more buttons to click when starting my favourite speed game maps.

The script is still very useful as is though, thanks for a great script :)

The script exists but Lack's concern it would create a flood of games, the script was dropped.

I've created one for myself, but Lack asked me not to share.

Stocksr also created this same script - and it was blocked.

Timmins, you need to go to greasemonkey, manage user scripts, and change the run-on site to read 'player' instead of 'playerspace'.

It'll run fine after that.

The problem is that the included page says something like

Code: Select all

http://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?page=find

It needs to be changed to...

http://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=find
