Well I would go with the first "continent style" map, because you have permission to use the image. However, I would take that, and trace the borders into a graphics program, preferably photoshop. Let me/us know what software you are using to create your map, and we can offer graphic help then. right now, it looks like mspaint.
It looks like you've put some work into attack routes and territory names, but just looking at the map (without really focusing and studying it) it looks like a blur to me. Is there any basis to your bonus region designations? Or did you just pick them for gameplay?
I think the splatter colors behind the names may be taking away from the map itself. It may be too distracting.
And 60 territories is a lot. It's workable, but I would suggest maybe changing your fonts and bring them down in point size.
