Just stating how many regions on a map shouldn't be difficult.
Now, this table will NOT tell you how many regions per player; but if you think you're interested in a map, do a gamefinder for a complete game with the number of players you're considering, open the game, click to load the entire log ...

how are points won calculated?

had a question... since a person's rank and number of points change during the course of a game, how many points are awarded at the end of a game? Is it based on how many points the defeated opponent had when they joined the game or how many points they player had at the end of the game?

Yes, the most important feature would be the game chat having the turn number indicated on it. It saves a lot of hassle.

I think he wants that message inserted into game chat, or having a (#) beside the comment indicating which round it was on. People could match up the timestamps from the round ...

The first part is easy to code, just state how many territories there are. That is all I really need.

It wasn't "Secret diplomacy", it was just being irrational and throwing the game, making a decision that was likely to end in your loss simply because he disliked one of the players. He said as much in the game chat.

I think this is a really bad idea because it adds too much randomness to the game--you won't know if your opponent will be cashing in a small amount or very large amount of armies. More randomness == less strategy.

I think a much better idea for an alternate spoils is to use the currency method ...

personally, I agree. Not only does the player get a continent to start (huge bonus, but fair because it's random) but also gets extra troops on his first troops in which he can secure his bonus.
