Well, I'm glad everybody understand now. How about adding another stage at the beginning of a turn if someone has any missed turn armies. In this stage they would have to place their armies before they attack, but the armies wouldn't show up on the board until after the end their turn.

I haven't read much of this, but why would you want to reward someone for missing a turn by giving them multiplied armies?
Its not rewarding its compensating. Because otherwise they would be completely screwed over in a game just because they have a life outside of CC.

This wouldn't really solve much, and I think would make it worse.
Using this formatting on large maps you wouldn't have to scroll down, but you would have to scroll right. And I think that is much more annoying than scrolling up and down.

Missed turns solution.

Edit: In Summary: You still get the extra armies from your missed turns, but cannot place them until the end of your turn.



Ok, so I know Lacks already got a "to-do" for this issue, but noone really knows what he is planning so I wanted to put this out there.

Wow, I think Brahms just had the greatest idea ever! This guys a genius. I was about to suggest something like getting a 2/3 multiplier, but this is a much better idea.

Yeah, I understand a lot of vets won't use this. I already mentioned the selfish assholes.

As for the noob deadbeat. A deadbeat will probably slow the game down enough that the person who wanted to freeze it will be able to get back in time. So its ok that he wasn't able to vote.

What about it sounds terrible? There isn't a single negative to this. If everyone in the game agrees to freezing it, then noone is unhappy with it.

I was worried when it was in the "to-do" list. I hope this means they have some genius idea planned that will stop people from purposely missing turns, while not harming people whose lives get in the way.

I think this is the kind of issue that we have feedback for.
We shouldn't have to punish everyone for the things some assholes do.

I have only missed 1 turn in total, and that was in a freestyle game when I was out of town for a weekend.
But I still have to defend people who do legitimately miss turns.

I like the idea of the realtime game for 3 hours, and then it switching over to a normal 12/24 hour turns. Because If you sign up for a rt game you are expected to play straight for the next block of time. But for the games that go on longer than expected.. some people need to sleep!

This was the way I always played. Back when I played risk on a board.

I understand the difficulty of programming this, but it certainly would be great to have this option.

It makes the most sense of any of the fortification rules.
