It's not just the dice.

There's luck involved in starting positions.

And then there's decisions of other players. One might just decide to evacuate the continent you're taking, or one might decide to put 12 armies on your final square to get while you're not the strongest player and he's the ...

"-#1- 1st turn Deploy only, Do not attack the first turn unless you have 3 out of 4 territories on the small 2 Continents

For serious? I always, always attack on the first turn (I've quit escalating though).

The card is so darned important. Also, if you're not first to act you can usually ...

IN NO RISK RULES CAN YOU CHOOSE TO SKIP YOUR TURN. People who use this as a strategy are showing poor sportsmanship. Why say that it's ok when the reality is that it isn't allowed.

I did like the point you made though and I would support them putting it on the site. If you used it I would leave a ...

I think there's also a way to alleviate part of the problem:

a) Once somebody misses a turn, if they don't log in before their next turn, instead of a fresh 24 hours they just instantly skip their turn instead.
b) A skip turn button. As long as people are skipping turns intentionally, why make ...

then hope your 2 armies get shot down at once

Heheh... Now that's an odd thing to hope for.

Even if the consequences of getting a draw (1 dies on each side) are a little worse than usual (you end up with 1 die), I still prefer it over a loss.

The explanation is correct though. 2 armies ...

Wouldn't it make more sense to put all your troops on the same territory so that there is a nice huge discouraging to attack that particular territory? A territory with 2 troops on it is almost as inviting as one with 1, you want 1 single territory that nobody is interested in because it's too well ...
