Place Armies At Start of Game ("Manually")

I recall playing the Board game as a kid and sometimes we would play where we would take turns placing our armies on the Board rather than random placement.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

The Juanes and Unit21. Can you check into this? Their "alliance" makes no sense and many moves are made together.

Thanks.

I have no problem with the guy being trapped. My main concern is that with no moves to make, it will encourage players to "deadbeat."

Escape from Alcatraz

I'm playing a few games on the new San Francisco map - which i like very much.

However, in one game, a player holds only Alcatraz. The concept of "no escape" from Alcatraz is cool, but basically this player cannot move. He is trapped. Basically, he has to "check" in to take his turn, but has no ...

No Card Games - Bonus for Eliminating Player

Please excuse me if this has been brought up before.

To me, the main drawback about No Card games is the lack of incentive to eliminate a player. Has any thought been given to offering an "army bonus" for a player that eliminates another player?

Thanks.

Time Out & Cards

I forgot to end my turn in a game. An honest mistake.

But it appears that I did not get a card for my turn. This seems unfair. I did conquer at least 1 territory and thus should have otherwise earned one.

I don't think anyone intends to time out and it seems unfair to me to punish them by not ...

Ages of Players

Okay, my wife continually makes fun of me for playing Conquer Club as she thinks I am too old. For some reason, she thinks most people here are kids (okay, one of my "clanmates" did have to leave for "camp") while myself I am a 36 year-old attorney.

Sooo, I am curious as to the ages of the ...

# Of Games 'Awaiting Play' in My Games Tab *Pending*

This is a minor suggestion, but I think it would be cool if the number of games in which your turn was pending would appear after the My Games entry on the menu (much like the number of new inbox messages appears).

So, if it your turn in 3 games, it would look something like this.

My Games (3 ...

Taking Someone's Turns (When They Are Gone)

I've got a buddy who is leaving town for a few days (w/o computer access).

Is it cool for me to cover their turns for a few days? This would essentially make me a "temporary multi" but I want to help the guy out.

Perhaps the best way would be to post in each of the games and let everyone know ...

Game Finder - Public vs. Private

I think it would be helpful to filter Public vs. Private games in the Game Finder. When looking for a game, I usually look for Public Games and there is no way to tell the difference except when you try to joing.

Thanks.

Missed Turn Multiplier

I know I saw this topic somewhere else, but I really do not like the multiplier for missed turns. It rewards people for NOT playing and seems to punish the more proactive players. I wish there was a way to "filter out" this feature.

You always have the option of deploying armies without attacking anyone.

Really, it seems to me like this was your own fault for making an agreement you couldn't keep.

That's confusing to me; perhaps you don't fully understand the situation.

I am landlocked by the person I have an alliance ...
