The only people, who will be hurt by this, are the ones starting 10+ games on unpopular maps/settings, that only ever filled in the past by dropping all the way to page 1 of the *Join a Game* page, then got filled by unsuspecting/clueless *noobs*.

It´s done. The last game finished.
Thanks everybody for a fun challenge in friendly atmosphere, with some memorable games in the mix.
We really pulled away there in the end. The final score does not reflect, how close this was for a long time.

Re: F400 Ranking [Updated 04-15-13]
Yes, that is correct. But there are limits to that kind of practice. Because the formula also takes into account the score difference between two clans: The greater the difference, the greater the win margin needs to be for the higher ranked clan to gain any points at all.

Since I got a PM alerting me to this thread & poll, I´ll post my opinion:
I can think of a dozen other suggestions, that would seem more important to me than a new rank system. In the Submitted Suggestions forum we have several ideas, that at their time had 80+ % support in their respective polls ...

Seeing, that this thread was started & is supported by some clan mates of mine, I´d like to state, that I did not initiate this.
Whilst I appreciate the gesture & their support, I wouldn´t feel comfortable *politicking* my way to the top of the scoreboard.

I'm finding this very amusing, the top 16 clans organize a closed cup competition, the benefit being for those seeded 16,15,14,13 ... being?
Fun fact: Participation is voluntary. If the idea of competing with the best does not appeal to you, don´t sign up. Pretty easy.

I've asked this in CDF aswell, but does the seeding argument boil down to either or both of these, and am I missing something? (just trying to crystallise the exact points in a concise way rather than the long posts where it can be difficult to distill the exact point being mande)

Re: THE OFFICIAL CC CONQUEROR’S CUP 4
Well, the flaws of the random draw should be obvious to anyone:
a) We risk getting totally one-sided brackets. Clan A having to beat 4 Top 10 clans to get to the finals, Clan B having to face not a single Top 10 clan to get to the same finals.
b) Under the old seeding system, opposition ...

I also agree with ViperOverLords suggestion that option 2 could be split into two options.
2a) Random draw every round
2b) Random draw for the play in and round of 32 that will determine the bracket for the rest of the tourney.

Re: THE OFFICIAL CC CONQUEROR’S CUP 4
Ahunda makes some good points, but one theme runs throughout his post: this is a cup for the top clans.
So why not restrict entry to CC4 to just the top 16 clans, after all they're the only ones who really count.
This strikes me as a rather unfair response to a post, that put a lot of emphasis on ...

Re: THE OFFICIAL CC CONQUEROR’S CUP 4
I would agree with Vid_FISO, that there seems to be a divide here, but to me it largely seems a divide between high ranked clans & low ranked clans. And I have to admit, I am a bit disappointed, that quite a few people seem to put their own selfish interests first, instead of taking a step back ...

Re: Automatically award spoils even if a player times out
I understand, that not getting a card when running out of time adds to the skill & tension in Speed/FS games, but it serves no purpose at all in casual games.
