I am not computer savvy enough to even begin to create a map. I have been daydreaming though about a sports themed one. Mainly a hockey rink, with the end zones, neutral zones, circles, etc, as continents.
The idea of using the Stanley Cup floated in my head too...kind of like King of the mountain ...

Secret alliance, then. Multi's just a possibility (done via tor or whatever), the admins can look into that.

Making it where I don't get the cards seems stupid- why wouldn't he actually cash in the troops and defend himself? He would've survived at least a turn had he done so.

Maximum is not "standard". The 'real' risk game comes with rules for 2 through 6 players. There's no standard in there.

Why is 6 player standard the standard gametype? Why not 4?

I'd be fine with giving doubles, triples, assassin, terminator, etc their own scoreboards, or perhaps even setting up a sortable database of scores so you've got basically a total score list and people can go through and look at the ...

The mods will have a fun time dealing with the people whose ISPs use dynamic IP. It's not a feasible system.

I'm against the idea of skipping turns in general but if you're going to do it, do it right. (By which I mean yes allow selection of number of turns).

Right. If someone's been playing stupidly and attacking you when he shouldn't have been, causing you to lose, it's entirely justifiable to screw him out of the game in return.

Looking at that map, I'm a bit concerned about the neutral army numbers on the background color of the "grayer" regions (like Iran).
On the other hand, army shadows typically make either the dark blue or the light blue hard to see, and making the neutral army look a bit weird is a much better ...

There needs to be a "random" option which randomly selects one of the maps or a random map, and it randomly generates said random map.

When it says "Throne + all Walls" 5, does that mean just the inner walls or the outer walls as well?
If it's the latter, I'd have to say that's basically a useless bonus and you might as well throw it out.
If the former, it just needs to be rephrased somehow.
It also needs to be made clear ...

It's amazing how little people know about coding sometime.

Right now the way it's set up, there's no tracking for individual troops, and adding such a thing would be a fairly big undertaking, so the captain idea is a pretty difficult thing to implement.

+1 to defense is easier to code, but ...

The maps are already large enough. Not everyone plays on 1900x1600 screens with their web browser maximized. I'm on 1600 x 1024 and typically have Iceweasel at about half to 2/3 width so my GAIM buddy list can fit on screen next to it.

I can't even tell what's going on at the place where the east ward and the west ward meet. Do the arrows mean that they attack in a criss-cross fashion, or just east to east and west to west?

If the former, making them an X would make them more clear, and if the latter, just spread them apart or ...

The small size means it's basically useless for more than 4 players, and 4 is terrible with the neutral armies taking up 1/9 of the map, but it would be perfect for 2 players if that was added in to CC and it's probably worth playing with 3, though- 18 territories means 6 territories each.

50 turns in a month, sure. 50 turns in 2 years of playing?

A better system is probably just 3 percentages- first, the percentage of games in which they deadbeated out; second, the percentage of games in which they missed one or more turns; and third, the percentage of games they played without ...

Put a label in the bottom corner that says every territory is connected to a random 5 territories at the start of every game.

This is in no way factual, but will do an excellent job of confusing new players.

The Luxor-Darfur line is so thin and straight that it's really not very obvious at first glance, especially since it overlaps the word EGYPT. I'd move the word Egypt up and make the luxor-darfur line a bit crooked (like the yemen-oman line) if it's at all accurate.

I find it kind of odd how some ...

Abstract Art just basically means you get to draw whatever the heck you want.

You could make it actually have a "real" theme for the same continent/territory border counts, and be a lot better off.

Why would a kid name it East India? India alone is fine.

I don't like "Irakistan" nor the asian borders (which can be redrawn without affecting its layout) though I don't have much of a suggestion on the names other than rename "more russia" as "kung pow land" or something- the idea being only ...
