the thing is though, did the player threaten to retaliate with full force if u attacked? because if he did then by attacking you were asking for it. if a player makes that kind of threat then he has to follow through with it.

no, no dicustion nor threats were made about the attack. I attempted ...

kind of goes along with my idea (request) of being able to download movie type game logs of the games you finish playing for posterity sake. You could go to any point in the game and set it up in real life to play it out. Then, if you are really inclined, you could do that from a few points in the ...

Perfect Play (not a strategy question)

Should a game (of risk obviously) assuming everyone is playing perfect strategy (also assuming no lucky dice nor unfair starting positions) ever end?

Andrew, think of it the same way as the Assassin deadbeats work.

Maniac, I think it's an interesting idea but I'm not really sure if I like it. I think you're right about how people just chase their opponent around the map, and the majority of games really have no strategy involved. But I think ...

Re: A change to the Assassin gametype

Currently if someone kills a target that isn't theirs, the person who has that target wins.

Instead, how about if someone kills a target that isn't theirs, the person who's target just got killed, now has that dead target's target. It's the same rule as when a player deadbeats in an assassin game ...

Re: Revenge

In a recent game (on world 2.1) I attacked a player in such a way effectively ensuring that he could not conceivably win the game. This attack did not however ensure my victory. So here is the question; if you were attacked in a similar fashion what would you do?

Go to page pull down list

How many people have faced a go to page 8 when the current page is 15 (example). You can only click on the first or last three pages so scrolling back is exceptionally frustrating. What if instead or with the current system there was just a jump to pull down menu so you can chose the exact page ...

When you have a rainbow set, do you always play it right away or do you hold on to it for various reasons and play it later (assumes flat rate game)?

best country at risk

what country do you think is the best at playing risk (examples; the Russians are generally considered among the best at chess, the Canadians at hockey and so on). A quick look at the score board shows an Australian on top, but the Americans take the next 5 in a row. The Canadians make an appearance ...

If old games will eventually be deleted, there should be a way to save the information on to your personal computer. That way you could save a few of your more unbelievable wins for "posterity" cough*bragging*cough sake.

I thought that as long as they weren't playing in that game it was ok. Also, I already announced it in the game chat.

I figured it was better than just dead beating in the game (especially considering it is a sequential)

Tomorrow morning I will be leaving for a family vacation (it is my grandparent’s 50th anniversary). Operating under the assumption that I will not have internet access I have asked Leichtweiszj (a college friend of mine who has accepted to play for me) to finish the last game I have still running.

You might also consider making the cannon start with more than 3 people just to make sure no one can rush to early in the game; say 5-7.

How about just a chart then? I know there are charts you can find online (or do yourself with out to much difficulty). Have a on/off switch which pulls up a spread sheet.
