Re: District of Columbia [8/3] V1 Pg1
The last four responses have really blown this thing wide open. So I'm not going to quote any particular comments here. I just have to say - Peter Gibbons and I are in complete, total, and utter agreement. koontz1973, I know you have good intentions - all of your feedback thus far has been ...

Re: Ethiopia: [16.2.13] V09-P6 Gfx Discussion
Here are my graphic notes - all constructive, take or leave:
⋅ Saw the star in the 'O' mentioned... I like it. The blue seems too strong for the overall pallette though.
⋅ Nice title font... BUT the 'E' is hard to read because of where the "arms" fall against the tri-color ...

Re: District of Columbia [8/3] V1 Pg1
Unfortunately there is a pervasive feeling that all new maps coming out need to be different in some way, (all I hear is "more complicated") but I agree with you that most players like these standard gameplay maps and are getting bored with the current ones. There is a place for complicated maps ...

Re: District of Columbia [8/3] V1 Pg1
...if you end up getting frustrated and don't see a second map (on the same territory) through, we would be left with an incomplete map of DC. I think you make a very good point that you could do a second map of the more touristy areas (the "Federal City," if you will), that includes monuments and ...

Re: District of Columbia [8/3] V1 Pg1
Anacostia to Southwest would have my preference to avoid too much dominance of Bolling. Someone else might have a different opinion though.
I'll try that.
What can you do to make this map stand out from the many other city maps we already have?
This map is intentionally basic. I'm biased but I ...

Re: Alaska - v2.0 Large [2013-03-04] pg2
Personally I think having the docks all connect and attack each other makes for a more interesting gameplay avenue. But I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. As well as what designates how a dock is in a body of water. For ex. St Lawrence is pointing left so my thought would be it would ...

Re: 4 Star Meats [4 Feb 2013] v27 pg37
Seeing this for the first time... my initial thought is, I don't know if I'll ever be strategic enough to play these kinds of maps... but it looks great! Unique concept, very nice graphics. For the advanced maps, this is a cool addition.

Re: Alaska - v1.0 Large [2013-02-18] pg1
Also, aesthetically, while I like the clean feel of the map, I must say that the color scheme and tone immediately reminds me of the Germany map. I know they aren't exactly the same and others might not feel they are that close, but I just wanted to point that out. I think some changes in color ...

Re: Alaska - v2.0 Large [2013-03-04] pg2
... changed the Deck legend text to say "All docks connect, and border Small Boats within their bodies of water".
Hi Seamus76, I like the map so far, well done. The above is confusing though - do docks connect only in their body of water, or to ALL other docks? Sounded like the feedback was that ...

Re: District of Columbia [8/3] V1 Pg1
It seems to me 4-corner borders are a no-no, so I think the point connecting South-West, Navy Yard, Anacostia, and Bolling needs to be changed.
Got it, yeah that doesn't work. I'll alter the border between Bolling and Anacostia... for playability, do you think Bolling should touch Navy Yard, or ...

Re: District of Columbia [8/3] V1 Pg1
800 is the height. {...} bonus numbers on the text part of the mini map is bad. Ward numbers on the main map is also bad. Too much information leads to confusion.
Ok right... so the next version will be 640x800px. Will fix bonus/ward numbers.
Confusion vs. information... one of my favorite graphs ...

Mini map looks good but the text next to it is badly worded. Get rid of the numbers on the right and just have ...

Re: District of Columbia 1.0
Yes, yes, yes! This is exactly the sort of map I was envisaging--at least insofar as gameplay goes!
Glad you approve thus far. Looking forward to your feedback.
Go DOOD! I'll play it!
Thanks for the support!
Are we to glean from the title that there will be a District of Columbia 2.0?
Yes ...
