Perhaps if someone deadbeats in assassin, you get their target and the game moves on?

Not sure if that's what already happens, I've never had that happen to me (fortunately).

I agree. Without the symbols, you can't tell what the planes are, and some people not familiar with Pearl Harbor could be confused with other things.

By the way, if it's random, what if someone ends and then gets to start the round, thus with a huge advantage? Or at least has two moves before someone could counter-attack?

How would random duels, doubles, and triples work?

1 vs 1 wouldnt work for this...doubles and triples just pick a random ...

what i mean is that adjacent and diagonal attacks don't feel like a sudoku; they feel like a lot of squares, pretty much like the crossword (it's like the crossword map with a different skin).
I thought that in Crossword the lines and not the squares attacked each other? In my opinion, a ...

This map looks almost done, but these are the problems I found when looking closely at the labels:

N. TEMPER ATE BELT

The bold part is lower than the rest on this Jupiter territory label. I remember a problem like this earlier so this is probably not new.

URANUS' HIG H ORBIT

Same thing ...

I request that the poll be removed so I can make a poll on diagonal attacks. If diagonal attacks are not allowed, however, the map would need to be redesigned so it's best to settle the issue while it's still early.

Just get a notifier. I play a manageable number of games and I'd hate the games I'm active in to be further subdivided when I look at the index.

Perhaps have the games you're active in just go to the top of the list? It'd then be ordered by active/inactive and then by number as they are now ...

I never move in team games even when I can unless my teammate is on IRC so I can coordinate with them. I don't want to be harrassed into moving alone and losing a game.

If someone doesn't move because they're going to lose, you'll beat them anyway and they're just a sore loser. You still shouldn ...

Lack could also add 16000 points to his account and become Conqueror. It'd ruin the fun of the game either way. What's the point of trying to get to the top if you can't?

I like the concept, but you're going to have to condense a lot of territories unless you want the next World 2.1. You'll also need some special factor to it so it's not just another slightly-different-looking world map.

Bermuda Triangle would probably be too close to Caribbean in location unless made significantly different in look, how it works, etc. (USApocalypse got through even though there's a USA map.)

Is it wise to have NEW and BOS having 11 points combined? They're probably going to be held by the same person since they have the majority of their territories together.

I think an obvious deciding factor between a shared-bonus-territory and having a hub station is having a line end there, but ...

I like Eris being left as-is. The last thing we want is people to learn incorrect regions of the Solar System by playing a map that looks correct (though, I guess there aren't any Jump Gates out there in RL). And Eris is part of the Scattered Disc, not the Kuiper Belt.

What if KB is +6? It just ...

I like it, but it's confusing at Chicago and which bonuses go to which rails. Does the orange rail have a station all the way in Chicago? Can every station at Chicago attack every other station? If so, it might be too hard to hold any of the bonuses from railroads that have a station in Chicago ...

It would take forever in non-RT games and add a boring beginning to RT games.

If you have an isolated territory or two, you wouldn't put any armies there - you'd only put them where you want to take a continent. There would thus be no strategy with using those extra armies and people would take ...

Before you make Kuiper Belt's bonus too big, please keep in mind that people will probably hold that with Neptune mid-game.

JG-N, JG+KB, Uranus' High Orbit, and Charon holds a +8 (5+3) with 18 territories with just 4 defending points. It might seem hard, but if someone gets a mixed set and ...
